Hi guys having a problem with the FB connect where a user logged in with Facebook, is visible to other users visiting the page. It is also accompanied with broken code where other FB connect modules are located. When the user logs out it still says the user is logged in. and it is unfixable until the cache in joomla is cleared. here is a sample link new.beatzradio.com/index.php/beatzbabez.html

Benjamin,
We'll be glad to help out however we can, and these issues are usually pretty easy to fix. First though, we need to know what version of JFBConnect you're using. Also, you'll need to post with the account you have an active subscription to JFBConnect with. Priority support is for subscribers only.

Thanks,
Alex

Benjamin,
I added the subscription to the account above as well, so now you can post from either and we won't pester you about your subscription :)

As for your issue, it looks like a caching issue, but a little different than we've ever seen before (mainly where the user looks logged in on that page forever). Can you try the following and let us know how things go after each step.
1) Disable all caching - in Global Config and the System - Cache plugin. This should fix everything
2) Re-enable the Global Config Caching on "Conservative" setting. Things should still work
3) If caching was on "Progressive" before, feel free to then try this setting. We haven't done a ton of testing with this setting, but in general, it should work without problems with JFBConnect.
4) Finally, to re-enable the System - Cache plugin, you'll need to make sure that it's ordered after (higher number) than the JFBCSystem plugin. Once that's done, re-enable it and test everything again.

Hopefully that gets you going. If you don't have caching enabled, are using a 3rd party caching extension, or none of the above helps, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

hmmm ok. It seems that disabling, cache in global, and the cache plugin its self doesn't help at all. I still have to clear the cache manually to get the log out process to be completed with out the broken code showing. Any other suggestions?

That's definitely strange then. Once you disable caching, the already cached stuff shouldn't come into play.. therefore, clearing it shouldn't have any effect. I hope that makes sense.

Do you have anything on your site to manage caching, in addition to Joomla's built in caching? If not, we may need admin access to your site to investigate further, as something abnormal is definitely happening from what you're describing.

If you want, you can Private Message me admin credentials by clicking the arrow under my picture (<----) and hitting the mail icon.

Thanks,
Alex

Benjamin,
It looked to be the "ZT Tools" system plugin. That plugin has it's own caching, which when disabled (in the plugin parameters), things started to work. Then, I re-enabled it and set the ordering to last (after all other plugins) and things started to work.

I don't know anything about the ZT Tools plugin, so obviously, please test.. hopefully you're all good now, but please let us know either way.

Thanks, and good luck,
Alex
