After successfully deploying some of the other plugins and modules I was now trying to install the module mod_jfbcfan_j1.5_v4.0.0.tar.gz.
I receive the above mentioned error. For a while I was also getting this error when calling the JFBConnect Overview page. But this seems to be working again now (?!).
The jfbcfan module has now an entry in the modules section but without having a right hand side config box. When published it displays an empty box in the frontend.

Please help!

Oliver,
The module zip file that you mention above has _j1.5 in the name, which means it's for Joomla 1.5. Are you sure you're using the correct module package for your Joomla installation?

Even then, the J1.5 version should make Joomla 1.7 have that kind of problem, but it's a best guess from your description. We've never heard of this issue before though.
