Each time I open my site ( www.grizzledgamer.com ), comments displayed in the JCB Comment to Facebook module show up in "Social Ranking" order. There is a dropdown to change the display order to a couple of other options, including "Reverse Chronological". It works fine, but next time I open the site, it's back to "Social Ranking" order again.

How can I set the default order to "Reverse Chronological".

There is no way to do this. Facebook moved to that "Social Ranking" scheme in about May of this year, and any new comment boxes added after that time are automatically set that way. We'd love it if they gave the option to set a default, but there is no way to do that. There are many 'bug reports' that have been opened about this, but Facebook generally says it's working as intended.

It's definitely not what I'm looking for...and it really stinks!! But I understand your hands are tied. :O (Are you absolutely sure there is no workaround for this? The Comment to Facebook module was one of my favorites in the JFBC collection...now it's basically useless to me. =( )

Definitely sure. We've looked quite a few times ourselves, but you can see the post in multiple different places from different users with the same question with the following google search:
facebook comments "social ranking" how to set default

When first implemented, Facebook didn't even have the drop-down to change sorting.. it was only by Social Ranking. They eventually relented and added the drop-down, but made it so that it must always be selected.

Again, we'd love to see some flexibility in the comment module, but it's just not available to us.
