It works great in all other browsers. Just not IE7. It populates everything but the stream.

Joomla 1.7 and current jfbc are used. I tried to do a search, but couldn't find anything about this. Any idea on how to fix? thx

I'm not seeing a stream when using Chrome or Firefox either, when viewing this page:
www.andreampls.com/rave-reviews.html

However, when I go to your Facebook Page, I'm not seeing any admin posts:
www.facebook.com/andreampls

The Facebook Fan box will only show the stream of posts from admins or from the page itself. That's intentional from Facebook to prevent someone from coming to your Page and posting spam, or other content, which could then be shown on your site or other places. There's no way that we know of to have the stream show general user comments to your Facebook page.

Hope that makes sense,
Alex

That's unfortunate, but I can see the reasons why. Since that is the case, the functionality seems pretty poor for the fanbox. There actually are admin posts, but you can't see them unless you log in. The average online viewer will not know to log in in order to see the comments, and if they aren't logged in they stare at a big empty box. You can't add intro text saying to log in to view the content because it won't go away after they log in, being an eyesore and redundant. Unless I am missing something here...

Well, if I am correct about most of my issues with the FanBox module, may I suggest (having the option) having the module replaced with any sort of custom HTML when user is not logged in? Maybe with a login with FB button as well? Just a suggestion.

Otherwise, the rest of JFBC is awesome and the support truly has been great. Good work guys

Hd,
Not really sure what you mean by having to be logged in. Did you mean into Facebook or into the site itself? I couldn't find a way to log into the site you posted, and can't really understand about how it would actually show if you're logged in.

After that, I Like'd the Page, and still didn't see any difference.

Either way, from Facebook itself, the Like Box/Fan box allows users to "Read recent posts from the Page". It will never show user-initiated posts, only admin initially created posts. So, if the admin of the Page never makes posts (not including comments to users), the stream will always be blank:
developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/

Finally, thanks for the compliments on JFBConnect and our support. If you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-...ook-integration/7215

Thanks, and good luck,
Alex

Login is on the homepage. Homepage is accessed through the main logo.

If you are logged into the site, you can see the posts. Otherwise, not. That is what I am talking about. The admin made posts, but it is only visible if logged into the site. (from what I can tell)

I just registered and logged into the site. I'm still not seeing posts. I really don't know any reason why logging in would change the behavior, that's simply not something we've seen or heard of before.

When you go to our JFBConnect home page, we have the fan box there. If you're logged out of Joomla (that's actually a separate Joomla installation in a subfolder, so you won't be logged in no matter what), but the stream always appears there.. to our knowledge:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/

I'm still not seeing any admin posts on the Page below, directly from Facebook:
www.facebook.com/andreampls

I think that has something to do with it. Is the page set up in some way to hide posts for guests, or non-admins? Don't know of any options like that, but I think the behavior your seeing can be replicated on Facebook itself, which means it's not JFBConnect or the Like-box/JFBCFan module.

Hope that helps, and good luck,
Alex
