Sorry for the confusion.

You should install the com_jfbconnect_xxx.tar.gz file that's correct for your Joomla version first. Then, on your computer, unzip the social modules and profile plugins .zip files, and install the ones you need from there. We don't automatically install everything, because it's best to only install what you need to avoid cluttering up your Joomla site. Many users never use the actual modules, and just use the {JFBCLike} tag, for instance, but we try to be flexible to let you manage your site in the best way possible.

With JomSocial, you'll definitely want to install the jomsocial profile plugin. We'd also recommend looking over the JomSocial integration page, below:
