Cache causing improper redirects. Whenever I enable cache, when I log in with the Facebook connect button it takes me to a random Zoo Article... rather than to the page i specify. My site is statusselect.com

What cache are you enabling, the cache in the main Joomla configuration area, or the System - Cache plugin which does page caching?

Also, can you let me know the following:
1) Is this for Facebook user's logging in, or for Joomla users logging in through the JFBCLogin form, or something else?
2) What is your configuration setup in JFBConnect for returning user redirection?

Thanks,
Alex

1) I have tried the config area cache, the system cache, third party plugin caches... same results with all.
2) JomSocial Profile

Also, it isn't only Zoo items it redirects to, sometimes it wont even redirect. I have even experienced that it wont work, till i clear the cache.

We've not heard of that issue, and are gonna have to investigate more. Can you send (or private message us) the URL for your site? Right now, we don't need admin credentials for what I'd like to see, but depending on if we can debug it, that may be necessary in the future.

Also, this is happening when you click the "Login With Facebook" button, correct? It's not when trying to login a normal Joomla user?

Thanks,
Alex

the URL is statusselect.com and yes it is only the Login with Facebook button that isn't redirecting properly.

Something weird is going on in your site. Looking at the HTML on your home page, there's a chunk of code that's being duplicated, our JFBConnect code included.

If you look right before the closing of the head section, you'll see duplicated code, starting with a Javascript file inclusion for "ajax_1.3.js", which comes from JomSocial. Then, there's a chunk of our JFBConnect code. Then it repeats.

In our chunk of code there, we setup some information for where the page should redirect. If it's on their twice, and especially if the links somehow are different (they weren't when I looked, but I can imagine they may be), random things may happen.

Even more odd is that this only happens on the home page. When I went to a handful of other pages inside your site, the code wasn't duplicated.

While I don't have an answer for you, it seems like something is behaving strangely in your site, either through redirects or repeated loading of some plugins (not just ours) that shouldn't be. I can't tell you where to start diagnosing this, but hopefully, this gets you started. I'd definitely recommend only enabling the Global Configuration cache, for now, and disabling the System - Cache plugin, as that is definitely tricky sometimes.

Good luck, and keep us posted,
Alex

If I gave you admin access and FTP access, do you think you could take a quick look to see if you could discover what is going on?

Definitely feel free to private message me admin credentials for the back end of the site. We'll look and see if there's any obvious configuration issues, but we generally try not to make many/any changes to other extensions or the Joomla configuration itself simply because you never know what else it may affect. Since the issue I mentioned above seems to be happening in the head section to other extensions, I don't think it's JFBConnect specific to us, but if we see something, we'll definitely let you know.

You can PM me the details by clicking the arrow under my picture (<----) and hitting the mail icon.

Thanks,
Alex
