Hello
I have tried every way to Sunday and have had several people try to help me set up JFB Connect on a website. Nothing seems to work correctly. The website is thehooksworld.com (can be accessed with thehookworld.com/index.php

Can some please look at the site for me and see what I am doing wrong on the set-up. I will gladly send you the login information for the website. I want it set up with the Social Plugsin as in example 3 of your demo

Thank you

Bobbi,
Can you let me know exactly what's going incorrectly? I see some of the social modules on the page you linked to, so just not sure what's wrong versus what you're going for.

The only thing I see wrong is that the JFBCGraph tag isn't being rendered. That tag requires some parameters, and when set, the tag will pretty much be hidden. When entered properly, it should be entered like any, or all, of the following:
{JFBCGraph title=Title for page}
{JFBCGraph description=Description of the entire page}
{JFBCGraph image=http://site.com/image.jpg}

When used, JFBConnect will place the appropriate Open Graph tags in the head section of your page, which are then used if someone likes or share's your page by posting that information in the user's wall.

Hope that explains a little.. but definitely let us know what issues you're running into (or a general idea of how you want the page to look), and we'll gladly help out however we can!

Thanks,
Alex

Bobbi,
Below is the entire code we're using for the Demo 3 article. Feel free to try and cut/paste this into your Joomla editor and see if that helps. It just spits out each of the Social modules in line. Hopefully, it's what you're looking for (or close enough to modify as necessary). If not, let us know specifically what isn't right, and we'll gladly do what we can to help!

Hello
Ok I copied the entire information into my page. Question: What URL do I use in the code for thehooksworld.com The page is at thehooksworld.com if you can take a look.

Sorry I do not fully understand this and my tech person is unavailable.

It depends on what you're going for. For many of the tags, the URL parameter is optional. For instance, with the Like button, if you put a URL, then when a user clicks "Like", they'll like the URL that you've specified. If no URL is given, then the like will be for the current page.

You can see the full list of {JFBCxxx} tags, and the supported parameters on the page below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/conf...ation-guide?start=13

No problem about the questions, hopefully the above answers what you need, but if you have others, just let us know!

Bobbi,
You purchased the 6 month subscription, so you have access to new releases (and support) through late February next year.

As for your current issue, what happens when you substitute you're own information? We'll gladly help you figure out whatever issue you're having, just not sure what that issue is :)

1) where do I download the upgrade
2) the site is thehooksworld.com I have a test page: thehooksworld.com/test-page
I want it to look exactly like it is now (with the exception of taking out the comments about the elements.
I can send you the admin login and password so you can look at the setup (can also send the facebook login for the client I am working with) just need to know where to sent the information

The problem I am having is nothing is populating from the facebook page. Maybe I am not understanding what should be there, but when I put the code in you sent previously, with no changes it has comments, facebook fans, etc.

Thanks for your help

Bobbi,
1) The download is available in the "My Subscriptions" link, in the login area at the top of the page. Simply install like it's new, and JFBConnect will upgrade itself.
2) I'm still a bit unsure what you want to do here. You simply want the test-page link you sent to not have the text we have in there? If so, you should simply be able to edit the article text we sent above and basically remove any text that isn't in {JFBCxxxx } tags.

I'm properly seeing all of the Facebook widgets load on that page, so it seems like you copied the Demo Page just like you were looking for. If I'm mis-understanding, please try to explain exactly what you do and don't want. If you have any mockups for the page, that'd be great to see too and help explain.

In general though, we really don't go into sites to configure JFBConenct or other aspects of integration, because there's so many different ways that user's want things configured, that it'd be a full time job on it's own.

Hope that helps,
Alex
