Hello! When I connect an account with facebook on my site, the avatar from the facebook profile picture integrates perfectly to community builder and kunena but the sizes for both are too small. Where can I go in the code to change them to a larger size? Thank you

Reza,
We can gladly help, but need a little more information on the versions of JFBConnect, Community Builder, and Kunena you're using. Once we know what versions you're working with, we should be able to help you quickly.

Also, please post from the account that you subscribed from as priority support is for subscribers only.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for your fast response Alex. My version of joomla is 1.6.3. Community builder is 1.4 and JFBC is 3.3.1 (everything is up to date)

No problem for the quick response, it's what we do. Again, please post with the account you subscribed from as it's how we know how to prioritize your support. It's a holiday here in the United States, so we aren't fully in support mode right now, but for subscribers, we always give it our best.

Finally, when you post from the account you subscribed from, please detail more about what you're looking for.. specifically, is the image in CB or Kunena too small dimensions wise, or is it just blurry (or stretched). A URL to see what's happening may also be necessary as this isn't a common issue, but one we've helped people with before depending on their configuration.

Thanks,
Alex

Oh okay I will for the next time (my partner in my website purchases the package with his account). The problem was that the image dimensions in CB and Kunena are too small and not tall/wide enough when they are being displayed. Regarding the subscription account, I can't access his account to post since he connected with his Facebook but I can provide you his credentials. Let me know if this works.

Reza,
It's best if you can just have him post once in this thread. Then, I can add you to his subscription so you can both post without us asking again.

As for the issue you're having, can you provide a page this is happening on? It really helps us to see the dimensions of the avatar that's wanted by CB and Kunena to determine the best course. When we import the avatar from Facebook, we use the the biggest setting available from some pre-selected values, but it's possible to get an even larger version with a few tricks. However, there are limits to this, and if you go too big, you get a stretched image from Facebook (since not everyone uploads high-res photos to begin with), so we need to sort of customize it to what you're looking for.

Hope that helps explain. If you can't give a URL, there are some other details we can ask for to figure out what the best option is.

Thanks,
Alex

Okay thank you for your reply. Here are the example avatars on these pages which I want to expand/stretch.

stocksmatter.com/index.php/community/mem...ist/userprofile/Reza

stocksmatter.com/index.php/forum/2-welco...-welcome-to-kunena#2 (go to my forum post avatar)

If you can help me stretch the size of these pictures to a dimension of my preference I would greatly appreciate it!!

Reza/Cam,
First off, I added the subscription to Reza's account, so you won't have to deal with pesky questions going forward.

Second, I looked at the links you sent, and the picture that's been imported is as large as Facebook will send. If you want to stretch it from there, we can likely help you do it through CB, but just want to warn you that the resulting picture will be 'stretched' and possibly become blurry because of it. The picture that we're grabbing from Facebook is below, which you'll see is the same dimensions of what you see in CB:
graph.facebook.com/518546968/picture&type=large

Something you may want to try is saving that picture to your computer and updating your CB profile with it to see what happens. If it doesn't stretch automatically, then we're doing what CB would do normally, and what non-Facebook users on your site would deal with as well.. so fixing it just for Facebook (if we can easily) may not solve all your site problems.

Finally, for the Kunena profile, that's using your CB thumbnail, which is generated when a user's avatar is imported from Facebook. Simply changing the max thumbnail size in the Images tab (in CB Configuration) or the Avatar field (in the CB Field Manager) to a larger size should fix that issue.

Hope that all makes sense. If not, let me know... if you still want help stretching the CB image, I do think we can help though, but would need to look into it more.

Alex

Hello Alex. Thanks for your support and fast response. I managed to fix the thumbnail issue with the forums however i reuploaded the image (like what you told me to do) and it didn't stretch. Where would I have to go in CB to make the avatar picture stretch to a certain dimension?
