Dear all,

couple of days ago i purchased JFB Connect for my website f4friends.com and as per your instruction i unzipped the main file and tried to install the files but i got the message
"Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.". I am using joomla 1.5 and downloaded the file " JFBConnect 4.2.5 for Joomla J1.5,J2.5.rar " . Kindly help

You say the you downloaded the file "JFBConnect 4.2.5 for Joomla J1.5,J2.5.rar".

That's not a file that came from our site. We've never used the .rar extension and we have never had a package that's compatible with both Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. Can you tell me the exact filename that you are trying to install that is giving issues?

Also, you made another post about an issue that would only occur after installation. Is this still a problem, or is that another site? If that's another site, did the installation go smoothly there?

Dear Alzander,i Have installed all modules except one.When we unzip main zip file there is one folder called " misc " In that folder their is one zip file named " alphauserpoints_v4.2.1.zip " i am getting the error " Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package. " when ever i try installing this zip file.I have successfully installed all other zip files

The alphauserpoints_v4.2.1.zip is only to be used when you have the Alpha User Points extension installed on your site. If you do, you need to use the installer built-in to that component to install that plugin.
