To our knowledge, that change shouldn't affect any versions of JFBConnect. However, we don't test with releases that old with updated settings to JFBConnect. v4.0.2 is a year old, and things change fast in Facebook.
At this point though, the February breaking change has already been force-enabled on all apps. So, you don't have a choice about it anymore. If your app is still working, then things should be good going forward.
As time passes though, there's more and more of a chance that things in the older release will start to break. We'd always recommend staying up to date as best you can to prevent outages of Facebook functionality. Our latest release, v4.3.4, still supports Joomla 1.5 as well.
