Hi Alex,

I've set up my next action (Photo Upload) and the action seems to be publishing ok with no errors in the jfb back end and turning up in my fb timeline. I just have 2 problems with the action! The phot's are not being dragged across to facebook and the photo's are not aggregating into an album.

Any idea why its happening?

Thanks Neil

If you're using JomSocial for posting the photos, that's the problem. JomSocial does not have a unique link for each image in an album, and so Facebook can't pull the image itself to display in the Timeline. I believe this issue was fixed in the recent JomSocial v2.8, but we haven't tested that specifically.

As for aggregations, we don't specifically support that within our plugin. I believe you can set that up your aggregations within the Facebook Application / Open Graph area though.

Hope that helps explain,
Alex

Hi Alex, yes i'm using the jomsocial 1.6! Just been looking at the new jomsocial 1.8 and i don't think there going to be supporting joomla 1.5 in this version or future versions. Which would mean migrating my site from 1.5 to 2.5, plus my template provider doesn't look like there going to update there template to support version 1.8 of jomsocial.

Mmm gomma have to think about what direction i need to go now! Don't think the migration will be a problem, it's making the template changes that worries me:/

Anyway thanks for the info Alex. Thinking cap is now on. lol

Thanks Neil

No, you're correct, JomSocial is no longer supporting Joomla 1.5 in their newest releases, as far as I know. Didn't even notice I was in the Joomla 1.5 forum when I posted that.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other great suggestions. You may want to contact JomSocial to see if they have any solutions, or there may already be a post in their forums with how to make each pciture URL unique, but I'm just not sure.

Hopefully, that at least puts you on the right path though. We'll definitely agree that a migration isn't the most appeasing thought. We're in the process of planning one out for this site right now... ughh.

Thanks,
Alex
