Hi there, I believe we have a similar issue: we've had to disable the jfbc login cause on chrome and IE we could not click on links any more... looks like there is a Javascript conflict and all link are disables in the content area of the site. Don't know exactly when that hapenned but it must be fairly recent. Could someone at sourcecoast look into this ?
thanks

dididounet,
Your problem is related to a bug that Facebook introduced in their Javascript. For more information on the problem, and a quick fix you can implement, see the post below:
www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...-not-allowing-clicks

Ozbit,
What extension is the user unable to upload photos and do other things in? Is that JomSocial, or something else? Things to check would be:
* Is the user activated in Joomla?
* If using another extension (like Community Builder) that has their own approval/moderation system, are they approved there as well?
* If the extension to do photo uploads uses Joomla ACL manager to let you select types of users that can perform that action, make sure the user with issues is in the right group.

Let me know more info from the above and we'll gladly help how we can.

Thanks,
Alex

hello
This is applicable to jomsocial photos..
Also when trying to add photos to jplaces component iget the following.
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /components/com_jplaces/uploadify/html.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I assume they are related.

AL

Al,
That error message has to do with jplaces. Are you able to do whatever you're trying to do when not logging in through Facebook? I need more information as to why you think this is a JFBConnect issue and not a JPlaces or JomSocial one.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello
This problem with upload, etc only occurs when logged in via JFB Connect.
When loogen ion with joomla/jomsocial all works perfectly well.

Please advise...his is really effecting our sites usability and strategy to get users login in with FB credentials.
regards
AL

AL,
Can you check the User Manager area for the user and see if the User Groups for a Facebook user is the same as those for the standard Joomla users?

Also, can you let me know if you login with the *same* user through Joomla, can they upload photos? That way, we can tell if it's a JFBConnect specific issue, or one related to how Joomla (and those extensions) are handling your user levels.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello
All seems correct.
Let me get this clear is this forum what we call support from you people? I am not clear. Our company buys a great deal of Joomla software and generally the support offered is via ticket system,,etc. This method is a public forum..Am i missing something ?
In essence we keep going back and forth meanwhile the site is not working properly..

Could you please clarify this for me?
If my assumptions are correct then what are we paying for? software updates only?

Regards
AL

Al,
This is the support system. Just like JomSocial, which you use, has a forum for it's support, so do we. On our site, the forum is public to all, but that doesn't change the fact that it's paid support. We don't assist users who don't have active subscriptions.

Your subscription provides access to software updates, the Autotune configuration tool, and support in these forums. I'm sorry your not satisfied with the level of support you're obtaining, but I'm not sure how a ticket system would have improved our answers given the level of information provided. Simply stating "we cannot upload photos" isn't a very descript support request.

Now, as to your problem, this is an issue we've never heard of before, so more information is important to gather. In your original post, you never mentioned JPlaces, an extension we've never used, or even JomSocial for that matter, so some follow up was definitely warranted. Later posts didn't really clarify any ways to reproduce the issue and introduced more areas where you are having issues.

For the JPlaces error message, it sounds like that file, /components/com_jplaces/uploadify/html.php is simply not executable on your server. Frankly, that file shouldn't be called directly from the front-end, it should go through the normal index.php Joomla path to ensure all security checks are made first. That's not our extension though, so I don't know how it works or why that file can't be accessed.

For JomSocial photo uploads, thanks for telling us that the user permissions seem correct. That helps narrow down causes, but again, this is still an issue we've never heard of before, so not sure what the ultimate issue is.

Would it be possible to Private Message us super admin credentials for the site? Also, please tell us exact steps we can take to replicate the error you are seeing as well as the browsers you have tested with. We'll gladly look into your settings and investigate the error to see what may be wrong and let you know if it's something that can be fixed in JFBConnect or appears to be an issue with the other extension.

You can PM me by clicking the arrow under my picture (<

Thanks,
Alex

One final note, checking your Autotune results, there's a warning about a duplicate inclusion of the Facebook Javascript library on your page. Looking at the HTML on your site, it looks to be your Fan Box module which is both re-including the Facebook Javascript as well as including a different Application ID for initialization. That's likely causing some issues, even if not related to this specific problem.

Additionally, there's an error message about OneAll Social Login causing problems on the home page. Please note that there should only be one extension configured for allowing Facebook Logins. You can use OneAll if you'd like, but it should not be enabled for Facebook features if you plan to use JFBConnect.

Thanks,
Alex
