In general, you don't need an SSL certificate for most JFBConnect features. You only need an SSL certificate if you're looking to send Facebook Requests or want to show your website within your Facebook Page. Login, Open Graph, social widgets, and mostly everything else do not need an SSL Cert. If you want to get one, we have a full guide on getting Facebook SSL certificates .

As for your first issue, it sounds like you got it sorted it. The Profile plugins can cause issues if they are enabled and you don't have the extension they are meant to integrate with installed. We're working on fixing that, but in general, it's best not to enable plugins you don't need anyways.

If you need anything else, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex, Things are advancing ;-) Now when a user click "like" , its display in users wall saying " Dilip Kumar like a link on මැද පෙරදිග (Social Reader)." But whe someone clicking (Social reader) on that link, its going to a error page. "Not Found

The requested URL /fb/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Kindly help me to sort it out. (BTW Wish you a happy xmax ;-) )

jude007,
Can you tell me the full URL that's being redirected to? I'm assuming it's something like yoursite.com/fb/, but if that's not it, knowing what Facebook 'thinks' is your URL will help understand where the issue is.

The cause is likely how your Application is configured. I'd recommend going into the Autotune section of JFBConnect and make sure the settings there are correct. Hit the 'Refresh" button to make sure you have the latest recommendations. Then, you may want to go to your Facebook Application in the developer area at developers.facebook.com/apps, click "Edit Settings" and hit the 'X' in the top right of the "App on Facebook" section. Save those settings and then, try again.

Removing the Canvas URL settings is something we're investigating to fix this, and some other, issues, and may help you as well. Unfortunately, that can't be done through Autotune right now.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Hi, Alex, I've done everything as its mention in the doccumentation and send to submit. But its rejected saying " You will need to make some changes to your built-in read action before we can continue with the approval process. Read actions may only be published when 1.) there is a strong indication that the user is actually reading an article and only after the user has been on the page for a minimum of 10 seconds. 2.) You must provide users with the ability to remove any read stories you publish to Facebook, and include this option on the same page where you host the article. 3.) You should provide users with the ability to turn sharing on/off globally, and the setting a user selects should persist. Once you have made the appropriate changes please resubmit. For further information, please see: developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/s...iteria/builtin_read/ **If you are submitting an action for a native mobile app please include a video that references all of the criteria outlined above** "

Along with submission, I've sent this notice for them to understand "Hi, This action is implemented using JFBConnect for the Joomla CMS. My test user is "Patricia"
The direct link to my home page is: (My site homepage link)
This site is in "" which is official language in and I do apologize, if you cant understand the language :-) . You will find the facebook login button on the top right hand side block. I have created this action for the news area which is in the left block on the same page. To make it easy for you, kindly find below the direct link to the page where you can test.
www.mysite.com/index.php/tnews/185-2012-12-27-15-45-40.html
When you read this article, the blue popup notification will come on the right side after 15 seconds. By clicking that the user can enable, disable, or see the history.
Could you please tell me whats wrong please ? Please remember, i am using joomla 2.5 now. If you wish to have a look, please advice me how can i send you access details. Thanks !

In the Autotune area or in the App area of Facebook, you'll need to specify a full URL to your privacy policy, including yourdomain.com/. Once that's saved, you should then be able to remove the Sandbox mode setting. If that URL is properly showing up in the App details, but still giving that message when you try to save, you'll probably need to contact Facebook to diagnose the issue further. There's not much we can do on our end.

Good luck,
Alex

jude,
My last message was talking about sandbox mode and privacy settings. Did you have issues with that? Your post before mine was talking about app rejection. I'm not sure if I accidentally posted to the wrong forum, or what the current issue really is.

Can you let me know what problems your having right now? Is it a privacy policy problem or Open Graph Action approval? I think I may be going crazy.

Thanks,
Alex

Jude,
Can you post the full error message you're getting when you click the "Undo & Disable future sharing" link? The actual error portion of the message is missing, just the line it's occurring on.

As for the issue with Facebook denying the Action, we're investigating the cause of this. There are many users who are getting approved, but a few who aren't. Once we have a solution, we'll definitely let you know. You may want to re-submit and state that you feel you are hitting all of their requirements (from their denial, we should be doing everything they ask) and ask for more information as to why the action has been denied.

I'd highly recommend going over their denial notice and verifying that everything they say to do is actually happening on your site. JFBConnect should meet all of their requirements, but if it's mis-configured or if there are template issues or other problems that hide some of our features, that would be a problem.

Thanks,
Alex
