not shown on frontpage

It's actually not working on other pages. The module will work on the first load of any page, but then shows the text. That's almost always an indicator that you have the System - Cache plugin enabled, but ordered higher than the JFBCSystem plugin. The System - Cache plugin should be the last ordered plugin.

Once you do that, clear your Joomla cache, and hopefully that will fix things up!

Did you clear the Joomla cache after you did that? If you just re-ordered the plugin, the old cache previously generated will still be used, until it expires. Clearing the cache will make it have to regenerate.. which by now, may have already happened if you left it ordered last.

The template shouldn't be the cause, unless it has it's own caching system built in. Can you let me know if the Fan box shows properly when a user is logged into the front-end?

In general though, if disabling the System - Cache plugin fixes the problem, it definitely narrows it down to a caching issue.. we just need to figure out what caching extension, template, or feature is improperly caching.
