Your Study In Canada page is using the JFBCComments module with it's parameters set for the Legacy "XID" mode. That's not something the JFBCContent plugin is able to do as the XID method of URLs was disabled by Facebook over a year ago.

We'd recommend continue using the JFBCComments module on the pages that you already have been using it on in the legacy mode. Then, configure the JFBCContent plugin to work how you want it but specifically exclude the article IDs that are using the JFBComments module in the legacy mode.

Hope that helps get you started, but if you need anything else, just let us know!

Ok. Understood the issue but since i want to bring whole site on consistent technology i will have to move all pages to plugin. i wish there was a complete solution.

Thank you for your quick response. I have another issue. I am seeing that after first few comments are added on any page, comment box doesn't appear on page. Instead of comment box, a link appears "Add comment". I know that user can use this link to add comment but i want comment box to appear all the time. can i do it somehow?

There isn't a way to do that with the content plugin unless you wanted to hack some code to specify article IDs that should use the XID. We considered adding that as an option, but honestly we only used the XID method for about 4 months before moving to the URL method. So there's only a limited amount of users that should be affected and we really hadn't heard from many of them. Additionally, that change was made over a year ago, so adding that option now would simply be confusing for the 99+% of users that wouldn't understand it in the first place.

Hope the solution above works. You basically just need to segregate those 'older' articles and then let the content plugin work automatically on the new ones. We wish FB had a migration tool to switch from XID to URl, but they don't unfortunately.

Dinesh,
Unfortunately, you can't force the new comment box to be displayed. It is automatically displayed if the number of comments is less than the number of comments you have set to show. Once it goes past that number, a user has to click the Reply or Add Comment link. I believe the idea is to get more responses to existing comments and that users will click the Add Comment link after enough comments are already there (people want to get on board).

Honestly though, I can't speak for exactly what Facebook's intents are, just what they allow us to do... and forcing that box isn't one of them.

Hope that explains,
Alex
