Hello! Not sure why. I have content tags for comment boxes in varios articles. The ones that I have from before that still use XID system, have all the moderation options (example here: www.geoparadise.org/en/events/full-moon-.../reviews/isla-grande) , but for some reason the new ones with Href system havent. (example: www.geoparadise.org/en/events/tribal-gathering)
This is bad cause we had an attack of abusive comments a month ago and cannot limited visibility. We reported as spam, but we just find out that are still visible for everybody!! (except for us when we are signed in facebook).
How can we fix this?

Thanks

Noa,
Not sure what JFBC version you're using, but if it has Open Graph integration (all 4.x versions do), enable that and the App_id parameter should be automatically added as an Open Graph tag. Once added, any admins of your app should get the moderate link.

Hope that helps, but if you still run into issues after Open Graph is enabled, just let us know!

Probably that is the issue. We are running on 3.4.1. still on our 1.5 joomla site. But Martin (our techie) is now getting the new 2.5 site running with a bunch of cool integrations with the latest of JFBconnect version So I guess, I just gonna wait till we are live on the new migrated site to publish and moderate the nasty comments. Dont wanna really touch the old site now since it will be out in a few days. BUT, I've just had a look at the dev site and I found something strange.
In our dev 2.5 site here testing653.geoparadise.org/migrated/inde...nts/tribal-gathering I have the new empty comment box added by the content plugin with moderation view option, and then I have called the old comment box with this tag:
{JFBCComments href=http://www.geoparadise.org/en/tribal-gathering width=650 num_posts=20 colorscheme=light}
and it doesnt have any moderation link!!!
Open Graph is enabled.
I think Martin or "something" has changed the Facebook app's URL from geoparadise.org to testing653.geoparadise.org/migrated. I am assuming he did it to test the new integration features. Can that be causing the tag to call a moderation-less comment box??? Or the fact that the tag is calling comments from a different site?
Is it gonna be fixed when moved to main www.geoparadise.org domain and I dont have to worry about this now?
Questions, questions, questions...
PS. Not sure if you got my email answer about merging this account with geoparadise account to have a nice user name but keep facebook connected.

The Open Graph tags are read from whatever page the Comment Box is referring too, not the current page. So, if the app_id isn't specified on the page the comment box is pointing too (which is the old 1.5 site), there will be no moderator link. It doesn't use the Open Graph tags of the current page, or else (if you think about it) that would be a big security problem since I could set up a page, point the comment box to your site, and then moderate your comments...

So.. when you switch to the new site, if the app_id Open Graph parameter is set, the moderator links should show. If not, let us know.

Finally, I did get your email about accounts, just haven't had time to do the switch-aroo! Will send an email and let you know what we can do for you.. in a few days :)

Thanks,
Alex

Ok! I think I understood that bit, so no problem then, just wait a few days and it will all be perfect (practising a bit of positive visualization). ;D .
But not sure if I understand then how is that the XID comment boxes (even older system) do know the app_id tag to show the comment moderation options...
Anyhow, I dont really need to know it all , isnt it? Specially now that I found Martin!

Not in hurry with the merger, just to make sure the message arrive. Your emails notifications from this post got in my spam box and just found them!
Hugs!
