When we go the the page below and try to comment on any of the articles it either shows no photo or shows the wrong photo.

How do we fix this??

www.edibleartistsnetwork.com/Edible-Art-of-The-Day/

This is pretty urgent.

Please enable the Open Graph integration in the Social -> Open Graph tab of JFBConnect. In there, you can specify a 'default' image to be used on all pages of your site by adding the following line to the big "Defaults" box:
image=http://site.com/link-to-default-image.jpg

Then, on any pages you want to specify a different, more specific image for that page, you can add the following tag anywhere on the page (in the article contents or wherever):
{SCOpenGraph image=http://site.com/best-image-for-page.jpg}

After you do that, run your page through the Open Graph Debug Tool on the page below to verify the correct information is showing:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

Hope that helps,
Alex

I don't want to use the same image for each of the articles. I want the component to choose the first image in the article to post to Facebook and this is not happening.

I have attached my settings. Is there something wrong in the settings?

The page is www.edibleartistsnetwork.com/Edible-Art-of-The-Day/.

Cheryl,
There was no attachment. After you upload, please make sure you hit the green checkmark to insert the image into the post.

As for that page, I can see that Open Graph is now correctly enabled. However, that's a blog view. For that, there isn't just one article, there's many. JFBConnect won't use images from all of the articles for the Open Graph tag because only one can be used for a Like or Comment. If you want a specific image just for that blog view, you should add the {SCOpenGraph image=...} tag to the blog description area or create a custom HTML module with the image you want for that page.

Please note that each article in that page has an Open Graph image defined if you go to it's page, like:
www.edibleartistsnetwork.com/Edible-Art-...day-may-29-2012.html
If you use any Like button or comment that points to that page, even from the Blog view, the image should work. If you just enabled Open Graph, it may take 2-4 days for Facebook to see the new tags. Again, you can run the URLs through the Debug Tool mentioned above to check what Facebook will see though.

Hope that helps explain,
Alex

Can you please issue us a refund?

We have been trying hard with another programmer (we have had to pay him and we can't afford any more) to get all of these functions to work correctly and have been unsuccessful.

Can you please issue a refund?

Cheryl,
We're sorry you ran into issues configuring JFBConnect. SourceCoast was one of the first extension clubs to offer a no-questions asked 30-day money back guarantee, and we're proud of our software and support. I just looked up your subscription information to give you details on how to go about the refund process and noticed that you purchased JFBConnect on April 2nd. At this point, it's actually not possible to issue a refund anymore. PayPal only allows refunds on purchases for 60-days, which passed yesterday. Their dispute process is also only available for 45 days after purchase.

So, let's try to get this issue fixed up for you. I'm unsure of what image you want shown for that page when it is Like'd, but it should be a simple matter to add the right tag for it to show. Wherever the "Edible Art of the Day is a Dedicated to Showcasing the best edible art from around the Globe!" text is defined, simply also add the following 'tag':
{SCOpenGraph image=http://www.edibleartistsnetwork.com/link-to-image-for-page.jpg}
That will add the image for you. Then, if you use the Facebook debug tool, the image will show there. Simply go to this link, it's all setup to test that page:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/o...le-Art-of-The-Day%2F

If that doesn't work, or you need more help, just let us know. If you'd like to provide us with admin credentials, we can get in to look around as well.

Finally, in the title of that page, there's a typo "Edible Art of the Day is a Dedicated to.." There's an errant 'a' there. You can fix that while you're adding the image tag.

Hope that all helps, and sorry for the troubles,
Alex

So I have to put this line of code in every single article in order for it to work right? I post many articles each day and I bulk upload at least 100 each month. I have to do this for every article?? I don't understand this. This will create a ton of new work for us.

Can you please, please just issue a refund?

There are many more issues as well.

Please don't penalize me for being on day late - please issue a refund.

Cheryl,
I believe you've mis-understood a few points I've made in different posts above. First, our normal refund period is 30-days. You are well beyond that range. PayPal itself only allows for us to refund payments for up to 60 days. That option is now removed from your transaction and we're not even able to issue a refund anymore using PayPal. It's not that you're a day late, you're 30-days beyond our policy and 1 day beyond the ability to even do it at all.

Fortunately, you do have 4 months of support left, and as you've seen, we're very response. We'll gladly continue helping you however we can.

Regarding your question above, no, you don't need to add the tag to every article. JFBConnect has a specific setting in the Open Graph area called "Use first image in article for default". As I mentioned in a post above:

Please note that each article in that page has an Open Graph image defined if you go to it's page, like:
www.edibleartistsnetwork.com/Edible-Art-...day-may-29-2012.html
If you use any Like button or comment that points to that page, even from the Blog view, the image should work. If you just enabled Open Graph, it may take 2-4 days for Facebook to see the new tags. Again, you can run the URLs through the Debug Tool mentioned above to check what Facebook will see though.

So, each article should already have an Open Graph Image tag generated for it if you enable Open Graph and enable that setting. When I posted that information yesterday, the image was inserted on the page. You seem to have disabled Open Graph now though, so it's not there.

The only page you'll have to insert that tag on is the one you originally inquired about:
www.edibleartistsnetwork.com/Edible-Art-of-The-Day/
That's because that is a blog view. We can't auto-generate an image tag for that page because it would change constantly as new articles are added, and that looks bad in Facebook's eyes. So *just* on that page, you'd need to add the {SCOpenGraph image=...} tag I've been mentioning.

Hope that helps explain. If you are unsure, please re-enable Open Graph and the "Use first image in article for default" setting in JFBConnect and we can verify if the image is properly be pulled in again and show you how to verify it as well using the Facebook Debug Tool I've mentioned a few times.

If there are other issues you're having, definitely feel free to ask those as well. We're here to help.

Thanks,
Alex
