Its my first time Iam about to create fb app.
Im using joomla 1.5. I have installed jfbConnect 4.2.2., Community builder 4.2.0 and Alphauserpoints. I bought also SSL-certificate/18$.
What i would like is giveaway app. People can connect on my website with fb profile, immediately i have their name, lastname, sex, birthday, etc. and facebook connect status apperas on their wall.
when they connect they are redirected to step 2 page, where they can share "giveaway" page to their facebook frineds. for every recomendation to fb friend they get 10 points which give them more chance of winning.
At the same time in step 2, they can share "giveaway" page to their friends by email - openinviter (import contacts) and for every sent email, also extra 10 points, for more chance in winning. Step 3 - they can logout or leave a comment.

Where is my problem?
I cannot configure that everytime they login to my page with fb-profile, it shows on their wall.
I cannot configure that when they register i get all the neccesary "information" at once. it looks like they need to login couple of times, until i collect all the information i need(firstname, lastname, sex, town, bithday, website, employer, etc.).

How to connect alphauserpoints and open inviter? I figured how to get points for suggesting to fb-frineds, but it doesnt go with open inviter? Any extra plugin?
I have followed your instructions, and read many forum topiss, tried to follow, but somehow didnt find the right answer.

Please help.

There's no reason we're aware of that it would take multiple logins for their profile information to populate. Just to clarify, you have all the mapping setup in the Profiles area of JFBConnect, but all of that information isn't imported during registration? They need to login again for more fields to come through? That's very strange, but we can help investigate if so. With Community Builder, you will need to make sure that any fields marked as "Required" are 'mapped' to a Facebook field. You may want to try un-marking fields as Required as well, since CB can be very picky about saving users if fields are maked as required, but not filled in. For example, if you have employer as a req'd field in CB, even if it's mapped in Facebook, if the user doesn't have an employer (field is empty), the profile will be rejected by CB. Any fields that may not be filled out should not be marked as required.

For posting to the wall, if you're testing with the same user, JFBConnect does some checks to try to prevent multiple posts to the wall in too short a period (or back-to-back if the "I just logged in" is the last post in your wall). Additionally, Facebook can reject the wall post if the URL or image you use are inaccessible.. so make sure those can be reasched without being logged into your page.

Finally, JFBConnect doesn't integrate with Open Inviter. If you want AUP integration for Open Inviter, I'd recommend contacting either of those developers.

Hope that helps!
Alex

I just tested and during registration, I accidentally hit the 'Skip' option for allowing posts to my wall. I re-logged in and allowed, but I'm not sure if you're trying to post during logins as well, or just registrations. I did *not* get a post on my wall for logging in.

If you have it configured to post on login, can you tell me the message, link, and image you have configured to post?

Thanks,
Alex

There's 2 possible causes. First, your image is best if it comes from your own site. Facebook is picky about allowing you to post in a user's wall from 'other' domains, even if it's Facebook's (like you're trying). I'd recommend copying that file to your site and using a 'local' URL to post with.

The other option is to edit your Facebook Application settings and ensure that the "Stream post URL security:" migration setting is disabled. Autotune should do that by default, and it's what lets you post images from other URLs in your user's stream. However, Facebook still has the option to reject anything they deem fishy, and that URL might just get caught in the snare.

If none of that works, simply remove the image URL and test again. See if a post with just text and your link appears. That will verify that it is indeed the image causing the problems and help figure out the best fix as well.

Hope that helps,
Alex
