Topic-icon Profiles UI Not Displaying Correctly

Active Subscriptions:

Hi -- just upgraded to JFBConnect ver 4.1.2. The Profiles page in the Configuration area is not displaying correctly. When we first installed 4.1.2, it was displaying. We configured the Facebook info and don't think we changed anything else, but now Profiles is showing what is at this link: www.momskidsbooks.com/images/profiles.jpg

Any ideas?

Thanks

Yup, that's definitely odd. Can you go to Global Configuration of Joomla and set Error Reporting to "Maximum". That should show an error message on the page that will help narrow things down.

Other things to check are that in the Plugin Manager, you only have the jfbcprofile type plugins enabled for extensions that you actually have installed. If you enable plugins for extensions that you don't have installed, that could cause similar problems.

Hope that helps get you started,
Alex

Very helpful -- I had an old version of the CB integration still installed. However -- it looks like I deleted the JFBCLogin module while I was troubleshooting – I thought this had been replaced by the SCLogin module, however I realize that I still need it.

I tried reinstalling JFBConnect 4.1.2, but it was not installed with this.

What package is JFBCLogin in?

Thanks for help.

You are correct, actually, that the SCLogin module replaces the JFBCLogin module. The JFBCLogin module is no longer developed or distributed.

Is there a reason the SCLogin module isn't working for you? It has all the features of the old JFBCLogin module as well as a few new ones. It also works for our JLinked product, which makes integration between the two simpler.

Thanks,
Alex

I just need to get a Facebook login button on a page. I had used {FBClolgin} for this -- how should I do it now?

Thanks

The SCLogin has more features than simply the Login With Facebook button. However, you can use the easy-tag you mention to place just the login button anywhere on your site. Neither the SCLogin module or the JFBCLogin module are required for using the easy-tag.

You simply need to have the JFBC System plugin enabled (which does a lot of stuff) and then include {JFBCLogin} anywhere on the page. The tag you show above is missing the J, and that may likely be why it's not working for you.

Thanks,
Alex

Glad to hear that was all it took. We like typo errors.. they're easy to fix :) Should you need anything else, just let us know!

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory for JFBConnect and/or our support:
