Hello,
if you are refering to SCLogin and JFBCLogin they both do the same, from the point of view of JFBC.
SCLogin has the added value of being able to work in conjunction with JLinked, and show bot the FB Connect and Linked Login buttins in one single module.

the bottom line, is that you only need one of them, and if you ever plan to add the JLinked extension, consider using the SCLogin (you can always switch later if needed).

Hope that clarifies things a bit.

Mati - pure and simple, it doesn't work right.

I have it installed, I have it set up in Facebook.. and it never works right.

Sometimes it creates a user, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it logs the person in, most of the time it doesn't. None of the modules appear properly connected to the com, you can be logged in via JFBC, but the modules say your not logged in.

Its a train wreck..

Hello,
sorry you feel that way, but that is exactly why I asked to know what the problem is, so we could try and help you sort it out.

please answer these questions:
  • have you followed the Configuration Guide ?
  • have you enabled any type of SEF extension or URL Rewrite?
  • have you enabled any type of cache inside joomla (in both the general configuration and the cache plugin)?

also if possible, please shared a link to your website so we could have a look and try figuring the problem out.

Thanks,
Mati

Mati - I have all the extensions installed that we might use (we don't use any of the integration extensions)

File Attachment:

I have the Facebook Application Created and Set up Properly (I think anyhow)

File Attachment:

File Attachment:

All the plugs are installed and enabled

File Attachment:

The Facebook App ID & Secret are inputted correctly and the settings are correct.

File Attachment:

SCLogin is published and enabled (can I have more then one instance on the same page ?)

File Attachment:

It renders fine on the website, though it breaks the template if put in certain module positions, it works fine where I have it.

Notice however, that even though I am registered with the website and logged into Facebook.. it did not log me in when I arrived on the page.

File Attachment:

So I manually clicked the button to log me in, which it did :

File Attachment:

Note however that the modules still do NOT think I'm logged in AND they don't think I have liked the SMS Facebook Page (which obviously I have) :

Thank you for the though details.

just a question out of curiosity:
is it possible you are trying to log in to www.springportmotorspeedway.com?
because in the FB APP you have set it without WWW.

I was successfully registered and logged in when accessing without WWW.

How do I control if the person types in springportmotorspeedway.com versus www.springportmotorspeedway.com ? how do I know each time how people are going to me, how the google spiders and search bots are going to link me..

Seems to me many people are going to come using one way or the other way.. I have no idea and no control over that..

FB and its apps can be bound to only one URL. and from FB's point of view www.springportmotorspeedway.com is different than springportmotorspeedway.com.

what you could/should do is use a simple 301 redirect rule, to make everything go to either springportmotorspeedway.com or www.springportmotorspeedway.com. then in your FB App adjust the URL accordingly.

Let us know if that helped.
