Topic-icon No count in the like button

When somebody press the like button I receive the message of the action, the people receive the notification in their facebooks pages, but when I check the page I can't see the count.
If I press the like button by myself in an article I can see the count in the exact moment starting by 1, but if I leave the page and return later the count just dissapear. It is not the same problem to the google+ and twitter button.

I've just tested this from 3 different browsers and I can confirm that when you click LIKE the counter does not increase. this is because the LIKE doesn't really work.

There seems to be a JS error that might cause the problem.
are you using any other social plugins alongside JFBC? or maybe sh404SEF for URL Rewrites?
if so please, disable them to see if that solves the problem.

if not, simple try removing the G+, LinkedIn and other non-FB LIKE plugins, to narrow the test.

Yes, I'm using sh404sef for url rewrites. I disable it and the counter start to work. However, that doesn't resolve the problem, just create a new one. Now the question is, can I solve the counter problem and use sh404sef at the same time?
Sh404sef is a very important tool on my web page, and I have too many links based on sef url's.

Sh404sef is a very important tool on my web page, and I have too many links based on sef url's.

sh404SEF has a new feature that adds its own social plugins to the joomla pages, that does not work well when you use any other external social plugin such as JFBC.
we suggest enabling sh404SEF but disabling the social features (inside the component's configuration).

Hi Mati.

As you can see I disable the LinkedIn and the google+ pluging of your program, but the counter not working yet.

I'm using the sh404SEF v. 2.4.6. I found in the configuration tab a section named Social SEO configuration. But inside this one the option Enable on all pages is in position NO, I also disable a social plugin, but the counter still not working.
By the way, I think that I have the same problem with the comments. Comments just disappear after you leave the page.

since there are still a lot of JS libraries loaded it is really difficult to pin point the problem.
I'd suggest you create a test page, assign one of the default templates to it, and remove any module possible from that page.

if you want, shared a link to that page so we could test it out.

Sorry but I don't find this one as an easy solution. Can you help me in a different way? May if I give you admin access or something? Do you consider that I have to ask for help to the sh404SEF people? I really do not understand who owns the incompatibility problem and who has to solve it.

I'm really happy with the login with facebook option, and the rest of your program, but also I'm very dependant of sh404SEF, so I wolud like to find a way to make them work together.

Have you tested recently? I just tried on a few pages and the counter did increase, and some pages it already had a count. For example, the page below had one Like and when I clicked it, it increased to 2:

How many do you see on that page?

Disabling the sh404SEF social integration may have solved the problem. However, Facebook only scans pages for changes every few days, so the effect may not have been immediate. Please try again and see if the pages are working now, as everything seems to look right from my end.

If you are still having issues, please post the URL of a specific page that has problems so we can all focus on the same problematic page.
