I purchased JFBConnect a few days ago and I am having a very difficult time with it. So far, nothing works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the component, plugins and modules 3 times. I have triple checked my API and everything seems to be in order. Oddly enough, the like buttons, and comments seem to be working fine, but the fanbox and login button do now. My guess is that something is not coded correctly and since I cannot read code, I need help.

I would like to create an admin login for the backend of joomla for you, but I am not comfortable posting it in the public forum. Who do I send that to? Will you also need access to my cpanel of FTP?

Here is what I need:

The login button on the left of the site home page should have a Facebook button for users to register or login with facebook. currently, it just has text that reads "Login with Facebook" everything should intergrate with jomsocial. Upon Site login and Facebook Login, I need the user to be redirected to the Jomsocial Profile page item.

On the right of the site homepage, I would like a fan box where it currently reads "Are you a fan?" I do not want the default header or streams, but I would like fan pics to be there and of course a button to like the fan page.

On the members login page of Jomsocial item 255, there should be a login with facebook button under the pink text "create an account" It was a jomsocial button, but I would like for it to be a JFB button instead.

There should also be a Login Button on url www.sphynxmp.com/index.php?option=com_co...ister&tmpl=component

Oddly enough, the like buttons, and comments seem to be working fine. I have not tried the other modules yet.

The site is www.SphynxMP.com. It is currently set to a landing page, so you will have to view in index.php

Thanks for your help.

Felicia,
First off, I'll be moving this from the Custom Admin Access support forum since you're obviously asking about JFBConnect. I'm not sure why you chose to post here, but if you have Custom Admin Access and need support, feel free to post here in the future. If you're using just JFBConnect, please post in the correct forum going forward.

As for admin login, let's not send that yet. We have a Private Message capability with our forum, which you should use to send that, but we prefer to try to help you without having to access the admin area at all.

For the login button issue, the reason it's not showing is because you have another Facebook integration extension on your site. I'm not sure what it is, but if you look at the source/HTML of your page in a browser and search for "all.js", you'll see it in there twice. That's the Facebook Javascript library and it should only be loaded once. The first is from JFBConnect, the 2nd is something else and will need to be removed.

For the Fan module, there are parameters for enabling the header and the stream. Please disable those as you see fit.

For adding the Login With Facebook button to JomSocial's home page, please read the documentation on how to do that below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/thir...ration-for-jomsocial

Hopefully, that gets you going, but if you fix the issues above and still have issues, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

Thank you for that! I was able to get the Fan Box to load by deleting a plug in I found that was connecting to Facebook. The login module now loads, however it appears to be a double Facebook image and when I click on it, a box opens that looks like it is from Facebook reads "An error occurred. Please try later". Why is the login button not connecting, but the other plugins and modules are? What am I doing wrong?

Glad to hear that helped. Your other questions were answered in the post below:
www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...-double-image#p19616

Please don't duplicate posts. We get to all posts in a few hours, and posting multiple times simply slows down everyone's support.

Thanks,
Alex
