No new Likes anymore. was created by ס
Hi Alex,

In the past few weeks, no new likes were clicked and I wondered why. I noticed that even myself can't add a new like and when trying to unlike and re-like, it won't let me do that too!
When trying to press the Like button on an article\blog or any other view, there is something wrong with the display right after clicking the Like, and nothing happens.

Please, lets go trough stages for solution.

Thanks

There can be a few causes for the problem your talking about. If you can let us know the URL of a page with the issue, we can look into it further.

Also, please post from an account that you subscribed to JFBConnect with. Priority support is for active subscribers only.

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry for the issues with your avatar. There was an issue with our forum component dealing with international characters in usernames. It should be fixed.

As for your issue, when I click the Like button on your site, the following text comes up as a link "אישור". Using Google Translate, that translates to "OK?". What that all means is that Facebook has placed restrictions on the URL for the Like button click. This can be due to a ton of reasons, like incentives to click, lots of users that Like and then unlike the page, or other things that make Facebook think the clicks aren't 'original'. When it does that, the Like button turns into the Ok button, then, the user must verify the Like by hitting the "Ok?" / "Confirm" button. That will actually make the Like work.

That protection has nothing to do with JFBConnect. It's protections from Facebook itself, and it should go away after a while, but there's no way we can fix it on our end.

Hope that explains,
Alex
