Just looking at setting up an event listing type extension on a joomla 1.5 website with some Facebook compatibility. Essentially at this point, it's just the ability to attach a comment box to the event listing.

So for the RSEvents extension from RSJoomla, would the listings produced by their extension, as shown in their demo at demo.rsjoomla.com/events , be shown with your comment boxes attached? Be really great if so!

Generally, I know you are planning to support event listing integration. When is this likely to be? And which extension are you most likely to support? RSEvents, Redevents, Eventlist, or some other? It would of course be a factor in deciding which component to install.

While Event Listings are something we'd like to do at some point, it's not something immediately on our radar. We haven't scoped the feature out to know how (or what) we'd integrate with, and definitely don't have a timeline. For now, I'd recommend choosing the best event extension you find and use that without worrying about possible JFBConnect event integration in the future.

As for adding the comment box, that should be pretty easy to any extension you choose. Mainly, you should just need to modify the template of the Event extension and add the {JFBCComments} tag where you want the box to show. Even easier, you may just be able to add the JFBCComments module to a position that will show on the events page.

Either way, we should be able to help you add the comments box once you've settled on an extension.
