Coming right

Coming right up! Thanks!

I've manually disabled showing Privacy settings to users on the front end and have their privacy set by default to Public, so my guess is that privacy settings in JomSocial is probably not the issue...

If you'd like to signup as a new user, feel free. Once I get the Admin Approval link, I'll go ahead and approve your account. To integrate your profile with Facebook, go to the JomSocial homepage and click INTEGRATE at the top and click the Facebook icon.

If you need FTP access as well, let me know.

Thanks!

Andrew,
I simply enabled the SCLogin module and created my own account to test. Simpler that way. I disabled it when I was done.

As for your issue, you're all fixed up. It took much longer to diagnose than it should have, and what it boils down to is that we were bit by a change in v4.1. Previously, there was a setting to request the Publish To Stream permission on login. We revamped our permissions, making the configuration of things easier, but made it so 'extra' permissions need to be added manually. In the Facebook API tab I added the permission of "publish_stream". Now, when the Login With Facebook button is clicked, it will properly ask for that permission from your users.. which is required to post to their wall from your application.

Hope that all makes sense. We'll be adding documentation for the PostToWall plugin with the 4.1 release to make sure this question doesn't come up again (or is easy to answer when it does).

Thanks again for your patience and access to your site!
Alex

Great, thanks! I tested as well with the existing Joomla user account and connecting the existing user worked fine and the status update posted to Facebook as it should.

Please attach a link to the documentation for this once you have it written.

Andrew,
We updated the JomSocial Integration page. Our documentation for some of the 'extra' features is due for an overhaul soon, so the page isn't pretty, but it's there now and will be cleaned up in the future:

Hope that helps, and thanks for reporting the issue!
