Andrew,
For existing sites with JomSocial, there's a few things that JFBConnect can do to ease the migration:
* JFBConnect can import any existing Facebook/Joomla connections already created within JomSocial if you're using their Facebook integration. You should only use JomSocial or JFBConnect for Facebook, so this makes transitioning to JFBConnect much simpler and doesn't confuse your users
* JFBConnect also has the ability to automatically map users by their email address, so if a user uses the Login With Facebook button with email address
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and a Joomla user already has that email address, they will be automatically connected.. no forms to mess with.
* For status updates, we have a plugin for JFBConnect (included with the subscription) called "JomSocial - Post To FB Wall". When enabled, it will automatically post any public comments posted in JomSocial to the user's Facebook wall. Not sure why, but it's not currently installed on our demo site. Something we'll add to our to-do list
Hope that all helps. For more information on the benefits of JFBConnect over JomSocial's basic Facebook integration, see the post below:

That article doesn't include the new Requests system that was just added in JFBConnect v4.1, which is amazing for promotion!
Let us know if you have any other questions, and good luck,
Alex
