Philip,
I just got into your site to debug things, and found the problem. There's a field configured in Community Builder called "cb_myvstore". When that field is enabled, and JFBConnect tries to save the user, it throws the following error:
Unknown column 'cb_myvstore' in 'field list' SQL=INSERT INTO ...
When I unpublish that field in CB< everything works normally (from what I can see).

Can you let me know anything about that field? Also, is it configured correctly, however you configure it, and is it a field you absolutely need for your site?

Hopefully, that will get us started on finding a solution. Even if required, we should be able to find a way to make JFBConnect work with that field.. but again, we'll just need to know a little more how it's purpose and how it's setup.

Finally, I installed 2 file manager extensions on your site, which you're free to uninstall: extPlorer (which I couldn't use as I needed to be a Super Administrator) and OSE Fileman (which I used to do the debugging above).

Thanks,
Alex

Its related to this extension - extensions.joomla.org/extensions/news-production/blog/14464

bernard.saulme.free.fr/index.php/bs-myjspace/download.html

Looks like he relased a new version jan 1st as well.

Its what i was going to use for my users to create there own dedicated personal page on my site with dedicated URL.

Going to remove the community builder plugin for it.

Philip,
Sorry for not responding yesterday. We had the MyJSpace plugin on our to-do list of investigations for later this week to figure out the conflict. We certainly weren't trying to push you away from CB as JomSocial can have it's issues as well. They are generally easier to diagnose and fix though, which is a good thing.

I'm going to remove the MyJSpace investigation for now, as we don't think it will be a common issue. If you still plan to use it or need a solution 'now' before you move to JS, let us know and I can make sure we get you an answer in a few days.

Glad to know we helped though, and good luck,
Alex

Mate im very happy with jom social, very glad i took the plunge.

CB is great if your a newbie site, or got lots of time to mess about with tech backend stuff. But if you want to get serious about a joomla social networking site than i got to say it, jomsocial is definatly looking like the publishers choice.

Glad to hear you're happy. JomSocial is getting a little too large, in our opinion.. soo many features, when most of the time, admins just want the extended profiles.. but then again, it's coded well and generally just works, so I can't argue :) Also, JFBConnect is getting a bit big too.. so can't really argue too much..

Anyways, glad you made the switch and are happy,
Alex
