I have joomla 1.5.22, Community Builder 1.7.0 and jfbcConnect 4.0.3. when I click on my "Login via Facebook" button the user gets correctly created but is is unapproved and the email confirmation field is set to "Waiting for Approval". I made sure that none of the fields in Community Builder are set to required. Is there any other reason this occurs?

The CB Profile plugin for JFBConnect is installed and published as well?

We've only seen this occur when Community Builder rejects our saving of the user in their database, and that only happens when required fields aren't filled out. We haven't heard of it under other circumstances, but it's always possible there's something new that you're running into.

Can you also check or try:
* Enable "Skip CB Activation" in the Profiles tab of JFBConnect
* Set the User Creation to Full Joomla User and in the Profiles tab, enable the "Show non-mapped Required Fields". Register again and see if any new fields come up.

Hope this helps, but if not, let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

OK ive disabled the Create Contact Plugin and that seems to clear that problem - but the warnings about User not approved and User not authorised still not done automatically.

Only thing that seems to clear it is syncing the user database in community builder.

Philip,
Is CB or Joomla setup to require user activation on your site?

Also, please confirm that all fields in CB are set to not-required. Required can be set for some that have mappings within JFBConnect, but for testing right now, I'd set -every- field to not required and see if that fixes the problem.

For the Create Contact plugin, yes, you'll want to unpublish that as it can prevent users from being created if they have the same first/last name as an existing user. It's a silent error, which is very problematic for us to detect, but it can cause a lot of problems like you've seen.

Hope the no-required fields fixes it for you, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Just to let you know Alzandar the boys at community builder are suggesting its a problem wiith JFBConnect. Now considering the JED uses your software, i would suggest its a problem with there software and they should be looking to make sure it works with you and not the other way round.

Philip,
It's likely a problem with both our extensions, in all honesty. Community Builder basically has their own CMS that uses little/none of the Joomla framework to manage users. It's a real pain to work around, and why almost all developers integrate and enjoy working with JomSocial more.. it's familiar because it uses Joomla, it doesn't just bolt onto Joomla.

Regardless though, we'll be happy to look into the problem and actually try to help you instead of laying blame on others. Unfortunately, I don't have an immediate answer on-hand. Would it be possible to Private Message me admin credentials for your site so we can investigate further and debug what the real issue is?

You can PM me by clicking the arrow under my picture (<----) and hitting the mail icon.

Thanks,
Alex

Be happy to give you admin access alex. Ill sort that out for you - to be honest, think im going to have to anyway as im trying to intgrate with JMS multisites and i can see problems on the horizan - not with your product, but with theres.

As for Community builder - to be honest with there attitude to support soon as i can afford to purchase jomsocial im going to take the plunge- i see no point working with CB if i have to spend money i might as well spend it with Jomsocial.
