hi all,
can anyone tell me why this is appearing at the top of this page: www.glenrothesspoon.com/index.php/glenrothes-directory
followed the installation details to a tee yesterday!
have community builder on the site (quite an old version if that makes any difference)
Thanks,
Mark

First, amusing topic and description. Second, sorry for the troubles.

I'm not actually seeing the error you mention at the top of that page (or anywhere on that page for that matter). When I go to it, I see a "Find local businesses" page with a category listing. On the left side, the Login With Facebook (what should be a button) is just text. Looking at the HTML on the page, it seems like the JFBCSystem plugin is not enabled. Can you check that and publish it?

If that's the cause of the problem, let us know. Otherwise, if there's something that we need to 'do' to make the error appear, let us know, and we'll do that to see what's up.

Finally, CB version shouldn't really matter. We've tested JFBC on 1.2-1.4. If you're on something prior to 1.2, let us know.

Thanks!

Thanks Alex,
Looks like I may have been a bit hasty - I'm not getting the message from my home pc (was at work when I got the error), so fingers crossed it was just a glitch.
The 'System - JFBCSystem' plugin is definitely enabled though, wonder why it isn't showing up...
thanks again,
Mark
edit - the 'just text' facebook button seemed to happen for me too a couple of times. Is it possible there may be some conflicts going on with other plugins, the site could probably do with a bit of a spring clean...

The JFBCSystem plugin is definitely not working right, whatever the cause. Without it, plenty of things will seem flaky (including the Like button). I'm honestly not sure why it's not behaving itself. Would it be possible to give us super admin access to your site to investigate a little further?

Sorry for the troubles, but we'll get to the bottom of it.

Mark,
I just got into your site (sorry for the delay, and thanks for the credentials). I tested a few things, but ultimately, it seemed liking clearing the cache was what was required. I'm not sure why it wasn't being refreshed, automatically every 15 minutes like you had set it, but the cache was huge and seemed like it had been building for a while. Either way, please test. I just registered and it worked as expected. The New User redirection setting did not work properly (got a 404 error), so I'd check that setting.

Otherwise, you should hopefully be good to go now. Let us know if you continue to have problems and we'll get you fixed up!
