When I try to import the mapped fields from FB, it stalls. I click the button, it asks for permission (on the first go-around) and asks for FB login credentials. No problems there. Once the credentials are input and I click go, an empty box appears & simply stalls. Nothing else. No data, no errors, nothing.

Let me know what I can do to fix this - this is going to be a big draw for my site, and I really need it up. Thanks Alex.

Obviously, that's not right. Are you using the new 3.2 version of JFBConnect, or are you on 3.1? In 3.1, the issue you describe above would likely be caused by an incorrect ordering of the JFBConnect User plugin in relation to the Joomla User plugin. (JFBConnect needs to have a higher number).

In 3.2, we haven't seen that issue, and may need to investigate more. Fortunately, there's no ordering requirement on the User plugins anymore, so that wouldn't be it. My best guess would be that you have a User plugin that's trying to redirect the user (or log them in). When that happens, the remainder of our login process doesn't continue, which could prevent profiles from importing.

Please check the above, and if that doesn't help narrow it down, let us know, and we'll come up with other things to check, or ask for credentials to check out your config ourselves.

I am running 3.2, and I have JFBConnect User firing first.
Unfortunately, since I began this thread there is no longer a second box at all. The only connectivity that occurs happens when the user is first created. It pulls my facebook data for name and avatar, but nothing else. There used to be a second box, which was on the Edit Details page. That box used to flash, ask for permission to access the data, then it would freeze (see initial thread post) - Now that whole box is gone.

Not sure what the deal is. Thanks again.

Likely, the 2nd box isn't appearing anymore because you no longer have to approve the application. That's a 1-time event for each user. Obviously, it shouldn't pop up and stall in the first place, but that could explain why it's not appearing at all now.

Can you tell me what User plugins you have installed? That may help figure out what's up. Also, make sure that in JomSocial, you have their Facebook Connect functionality disabled. You can do this by removing the API/Secret keys from the Facebook Connect tab in the configuration area. Facebook does not like 2 extensions trying to manage connections to it.

Finally, if none of that helps, please post (or private message) a link to your site, and we'll see if we can figure out what's going on.

Hey Alex,
I have the JomSocial Connect turned off.

I am not getting the 1st box at all now. If you register to my site through JFBConnect, there is no box requesting access permission. It simply connects and goes to the landing page - but it DOES bring in the avatar and email for the user.

User plugins are JFBConnect @1, Joomla User @2, MiniBuddy@3, Jomsocial @4

I will create a backend user/pass for you and PM you with it. Thanks a ton !!!

I just registered on the site and everything imported as expected for me:

Once you approve the permissions for your application with a user, you don't have to do it again. It's a one-time thing, unless you delete the application from your user's Facebook profile.

Let me know if you're still having issues or can help us narrow down how to recreate the problem.

If you're good, please disable/delete our super admin account.
