Hi, my jfbc login module isn't working. I'm having these errors:
1) fb_logout_button_click is not defined
2)FB.login() called when user is already connected.
3)fb_login_button_click is not defined
FB.provide('Helper',{isUser:function(a...[f[e]];return b[c].apply(this,a);}});

In addition to that i can't redirect to alpharegistration component cause the url provided when clicking is wrong
www.isardegna.com/index.php?option=com_a...&view=register&tmpl=
instead of www.isardegna.com/index.php?option=com_a...ask=register&lang=it
I've installed the latest version of jfbc connect
What's wrong and why i'm having those errors? Could you please have a look?
Thank you in advance

Hi Alex, I am also having an issue with my Facebook connect/login feature. My button is loading fine and will depress when pressed but does nothing more. This appears to be an intermittent issue on both Firefox and IE8 (compatibility on and off)... neither seems to work consistently. Take a look when you read this www.ecoevaluator.com/blog.html

Thanks

Coolweb,
I'm not seeing the javascript errors you mention in lines 1-3. I'm able to connect properly, and it brings me to the login/register page, as I'd expect. The 'fb_logxx_button_click' javascript names are the older names we used prior to v3.1. You shouldn't be calling those. If you are still, I'd check any template overrides you may have for the JFBCLogin module, and update them with what's in the newest v3.1 JFBCLogin module. Hopefully, that will clear up most of those errors, but from what I see in the HTML, these 'old' calls aren't there.. so I'm not sure what's trying to call them..

Finally, when I do try to register, JFBConnect is trying to redirect to the page with an Itemid of 208, but is giving a 404 doesn't exist. Can you check your New User Redirection menu item and make sure it's correct in JFBConnect? The menu item it's pointing at should both exist, and be published. If it is setup correctly, and you're still seeing that, please let us know.

Todd,
I've been trying to recreate your issue, but can't so far. Everything seems setup correctly, from what I can see. Can you tell me if it's intermittent on the same page, or if some pages show the problem while others generally work?

Thanks, and we'll help both of you fix your problems!

Coolweb,
I clicked on the first link, but its a blank page. I'm assuming that's what you're seeing. When is the redirection occuring that is sending the user there? I can't see it. I just re-registered on your site (different FB account), and was redirected to:
www.isardegna.com/index.php?option=com_c...age&Itemid=1&lang=it

The page loaded properly and seemed good to me. However, the JFBCLogin module had the "Connect this account" button on it, which indicates a proper Facebook user mapping didn't occur. This generally happens if you haven't configured the plugins correctly. Please make sure the ordering of the User plugins is correct as indicated below:
www.sourcecoast.com/extensions/jfbconnec...ration-guide?start=2

Once that's done, please delete my 2 user accounts on your site (sourcecoast and sourcecoast1) so I can try re-registering again with them.

Thanks!

Hi alex, I don't know when the redirection is occuring, I'm using alpharegistration but the link is pointing to com_user, do you know which file handles the redirections in joomla? I'm asking you this as a favour

Coolweb, no problem with favors and helping you out. We go above and beyond for all of our subscribers. We just need to get a better handle on what you're asking, so I'm going to go through everything above and hopefully you can help narrow things down:

2)FB.login() called when user is already connected.
3)fb_login_button_click is not defined

This was fixed by re-installing JFBConnect, correct?

In addition to that i can't redirect to alpharegistration component cause the url provided when clicking is wrong
www.isardegna.com/index.php?opti … &tmpl=
instead of www.isardegna.com/index.php?opti … mp;lang=it

This is what the current issue is.

I just tried to log in again, but it seems my accounts are still on your site. Have you checked the plugins for the following:
1) The JFBConnect User plugin is enabled.
2) It has a higher number for ordering than the Joomla User plugin
3) The JFBConnect Authentication plugin is enabled

Once you've checked these, please delete my accounts so I can test again (sourcecoast and sourcecoast1).

Finally, when I registered before, I was redirected to the Home page. I still am not clear when you're seeing a redirection to AlphaRegistration. What steps should I take to recreate that redirection?

Thanks,
Alex

Yes now i have only the last problem, the one registering a new account with joomla. I followed all your suggestions, but the new account link still doesn't work. to recreate this issue just click on "registrati al sito" below the facebook connect button.

Coolweb,
We just re-registered on the site. Our account name is "sourcecoast". Can you make that user a super administrator so we can investigate what's going on? Sorry for the troubles, but we'll fix you up.

After registering, we were again redirected to the page below:
index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=1&lang=it

We also got the message:
Congratulazioni! Hai guadagnato 50 punti
Congratulazioni! Hai guadagnato 1 punti
Hi sourcecoast. You are still not registered for our raffle. Try your luck!

We didn't get a post on our Facebook page for registering though. If we can get into the admin area, hopefully that will help us understand what's happening.

Thanks!
