Hi Alzander, long time no speak. My site got hacked and so had to rebuild the frontend as the database wasn't touched.. the like and comments box, when I reinstalled it doesn't work properly. I've disabled it now, but what happens is that the article loads, instead of the plugin in working, it simply puts text at the top and the bottom, as laid out here:

{div width:270|float:left}{module MONEY LEADERBOARD|table}{/div}This tournament is not going be your average run of the mill competition. Besides CSF’s new Money Leader Board concept adopted from AZBilliards, which will kick off at the tournament, we will be doing coverage on the day which will become an option for clubs hosting comps to give local tournaments the professional edge. CSF’s main focus will be to promote competitions through media like our website, filming feature matches, taking photos & more.

The tournament itself will be a double life tournament with a race to 1 frame plate event for those who drop out in the 1st 2 rounds. I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again, in order to be the best, you have to play the best. Ok, I know that’s not my saying, but isn’t it the truth? So with that in mind, give yourself a goal in 2011 and play a tournament a month. Not only would this improve your skills, but the sport itself would benefit too. Put some practice in weekly, play in the tournaments, and see which top players you can give a run for their money, or even beat. At each tournament, try to get one round further each time. Do this, and by the time provincial champs come, you’ll be more ready than ever.

As you know, Cuesportfever’s SMS system has allowed for anyone playing in the Blackball League to get and keep stats from all their previous year’s play. Check out South African Champion Yulan Govender’s stats, set a benchmark, come to the tournament, and start this year off with a bang! We hope to see you there!

Your help would be much appreciated as always..

Very sorry to hear about your troubles with the site. That's never fun to deal with, and hopefully, it hasn't set you back too far.

As for the current issue you're having, it's likely that you just need to enable (and install if it's not there) the JFBCSocial - System plugin. That plugin translates the {JFBCxxx} tags into the correct Facebook tags so that they display properly.

If that doesn't work for you, just let us know, and we can help you further!

Thanks Alex, the plugin is installed and enabled, i also checked in the content folder to see the file is there etc, which it is, so not too sure what the issue is.. Any other suggestions?

Not immediately. There's 2 things we can do to investigate further..
1) Post the URL to the page(s) with the issue so we can see the exact code being generated, and what's on the page
2) Private Messaage us a super admin login so we can get into the back end and check it out there as well.

Thanks, and sorry for the troubles

Hey Alex, I'm having a nightmare, I did something in the backend with the login modules and now I can't even login to the administrator side, it just keeps returning me to the admin login page, and I think I put the wrong login plg before the correct one. Anyways, this is off the subject of what we were on, but is there anyway of fixing this in the database cause I have tried. Sorry to ask for support that's nothing to do with your product, but I'm not sure who else to ask...

Hey Rick, that's never fun. No problem about "out of scope" support.. in situations like this, you throw out requests wherever you can get answers.. and fortunately you can here :)

If you have access to the database, run the following query and it should fix you up:
UPDATE jos_plugins SET access=0, published=1 WHERE element="joomla";
This will publish the 3 Joomla core plugins (User, Authentication, and XMLRPC). The last one is generally unused, so you can unpublish it after you get back into the admin area. This query also sets all the plugins available to Guests, which is required to be able to become registered.

Hope that helps, but if not, let us know, and we'll try other stuff. Generally, ordering doesn't matter for the Joomla plugins, just JFBConnect (for now), so that shouldn't matter either.

Good luck!

Glad to hear we could help. It's a common problem (disabling those plugins), that would be great if Joomla had a "Are you serious?" pop-up before it allowed you to do it.

Anyways, definitely let us know about the other issues, and good luck!

Hey Rick,
Got into your site today and did the following changes:
1) Re-ordered the JFBConnect User plugin - this will prevent any issues you have when logging in/registering. The JFBConnect plugin has to have a higher number than the Joomla User plugin. Fortunately, with the 3.2 release, this requirement will be going away.
2) I re-installed the newest version of the JFBCSocial plugin - This fixed the text that wasnt being converted. Now, you're articles have the Like/Comment box at the bottom.

Finally, 2 other things I noticed, but didn't fix:
1) Your Facebook application URL is incorrect.. it's pointing to the 'real' site, while the site you sent me to is temp.something. This probably won't be an issue when you move the changes live, but wanted to let you know that it may cause issues if you try to login/register on the test site.
2) You're using version 3.0 of JFBConnect. 3.1 is out now which has some improvements. 3.2 should be out in about 2-3 weeks, if you want to wait. There's no security issues with 3.0.2 of JFBConnect, so there isn't an urgency to upgrade until you're ready.

Hope this all helps, and good luck!
