Hello,
I have JFBConnect on my web site for a few months, a few days ago it stopped working on IE.

homehotel.co.il/component/realtyna/?view...=propertyshow&pid=60

I have facebook comments at the bottom of the page that shows "The page you requested was not found" error in IE
And I have "login with facebook" on the right sidebar that doesn't work in IE.

What happened?

Thanks,
Shani

I'm not sure from a quick look. I just tested in IE8, Chrome, and Firefox, and I can see that the login button doesn't work when clicked. However, it's only on the page you linked to. If I go to your home page, the link worked in all browsers correctly. I don't know what's causing it, but on the realtyna pages, there's a Javascript error below regarding Mootools:
Error: el.set is not a function
Source File: http://homehotel.co.il/media/system/js/mootools.js
Line: 23

JFBConnect does not use Mootools on normal pages, but it does require Javascript to be functioning properly. If there's a JS error on the page, it can prevent our code from working, which appears to be what's happening hear. Have you recently enabled the new Mootools Upgrade plugin (in the 1.5.22 Joomla release), installed new components, or updated anything Javascript related? That's where I'd recommend looking. You may want to try disabling some features/components/modules on the site to narrow down what's causing the JS error above as well.

Finally, you're running 3.0.x of JFBConnect whereas 3.1 is out now. There are quite a few compatibility improvements (as well as other fixes) in the newer release that may help. However, nothing in this release would fix the problem, as the JS error is not coming from JFBConnect. Just wanted to alert you to the new release.

Please keep us posted on what you find!

I've fixed the Mootools error and I still have the same problem with JFBConnect.
(From what I can see :
in IE - the login button and the comments don't work,
in chrome - only the login button is working,
in Firefox - both are working)

I haven't changed this website for a while and it suddenly stopped working.

The login button isn't working for me in Chrome or IE, on that page. It is working for me, in both browsers, on the home page. The only other thing I noticed is that the comment box you're using isn't from the JFBConnect page. I'm not sure what module it is, but it's including the Facebook Javascript library (all.js) as well. This could easily be the problem. Can you try temporarily disabling that module to see if it's the problem, and if so, switch to the JFBCComments module? If not, let us know.

Thanks!

The comments are just fb:comments.
I removed the include of the Facebook Javascript library (all.js) and it looks like the facebook login and the comments are working.
I guess the fb:comments still work because of the includes JFBConnect uses.

Thanks you

Yeah, we include the Facebook API (all.js), and we use the language setting of Joomla to load the right file from Facebook.. by default, for English in Joomla, this is en_GB. You were loading en_US, which makes sense, but which was also double-loading the file and likely causing the issue.

Glad this fixed you up, and let us know if you run into anything else!

If you use JFBConnect and would like to leave a quick vote on the JED for our extension or support, we'd appreciate it:

Thanks, and good luck!
