Greetings,

I purchased this component this morning, and have followed install & config instructions completely. However, when you click on the "Login with Facebook" button nothing happens. You are not logged in, you are simply redirected to the JomSocial home page, click & repeat.

I am fairly desperate to get this working, please advise.

Thanks,
Nicole

Since your integrating with JomSocial, first make sure that their Facebook Connect features are disabled. Facebook only likes to have one extension in charge. You can disable it by removing your API/Secret key from the the JomSocial configuration area and setting the parameters to "No".

That likely will fix your issue, but if it doesn't, please post your URL and we'll get you fixed up.

Before you ask, if you want to throw JFBConnect's "Login With Facebook" button into the JomSocial Home page, check out the instructions below:

Best of luck, and let us know how it goes!

Great, thanks.

I logged in manually and also through the JFBC module, then once I was logged in, I chose "connect this to my facebook account" (or something close) from your login module.

Now I can't log out to see if the replacement you suggested above worked on the JS login page. lol

So, none of my users seem to be able to log in, and now I can't log out.

The address is office.untci.org/

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance!

Alright.. progress is progress, even if it's still not working :)

1) Check the JFBConnect Overview page in the admin area. In the Required Extensions area, make sure everything is reporting the newest version, has a green check next to everything (except the component, that doesn't get a check mark), and that there's no warnings reported underneath. My guess is that the JFBConnect User plugin has issues and needs to be ordered after the Joomla plugin. Please check that, and read the below for more information if that's the case:
www.sourcecoast.com/extensions/jfbconnec...ration-guide?start=2

2) Logging out.. check your settings in the "Login/Logout Redirections" and make sure you don't have "Auto Login Facebook Users" and "Log Out Of Joomla Only" both enabled. There's a note there that explains why. Additionally, if you're not using the JFBCLogin's logout button, you shouldn't enable "Auto Login Facebook Users" because other logout buttons don't log the user out of Facebook regardless.. so, in short, to test, you may just want to disable the "Auto Login" feature.

Let us know if this helps.

OK - getting there! :)

1) All were/are green, all relevant were/are checked (save unused modules and community builder, which isn't installed).

2) Did not have the conflicting set up enabled, but disabled the Autologin FB Users for now. Button replace performed earlier is there & functioning properly as far as I can tell... except...

New! 3) After logging in via JFBC, am redirected to blank page: office.untci.org/index.php?option=com_jf...95aa06924d7c49ea2%22} (all previously declared redirects in the JFBC panel are off - *should* be staying on current page)

What'd you break now?!? :)

If you're getting a white page, it means there's a PHP error on the page. Please enable error reporting and let us know what the error is. That will help us get to the bottom of the issue very quickly. See the top of the page below for how to enable Error Reporting.

Ta-daah! It was an Agora conflict, have that disabled now as it's not really needed right now. So funny how you can get so tangled up in frustration, you overlook the obvious. I could never do your job. lol

I am waiting on some existing members to let me know if they are able to login okay now... newbies seem to be able to login okay.

Great to hear! What was the conflict with Agora.. obviously, that should work (it does here and we support that integration), so if there's anything we should know about, please let us know.

Let us know how things go, and if you have any other questions or suggestions, you know where we'll be :)

If you use JFBConnect and would like to leave a rating or review, please visit the JED to do so. It's certainly not required, but always appreciated.

Best wishes!

Ok, apparently only me - the Administrator - can log in as an existing user. Otherwise, the button simply continues to click>FB popup box looks promising>disappears>reloads current page Super frustrating.

I have seen the heads-up on the FB javascript issue & made that change in our code. = No change in behavior.

I hate to sound like a jerk, but I truly need this fixed, all this troubleshooting is chewing up my time.

Not a jerk at all. When things don't work, no one has a good day.

I just registered on your site and my account was created without any problems. This was using JFBConnect. I then logged out, and then logged back in again. Everything worked just right for me. My profile is:
office.untci.org/home/769-alex-sourcecoast/profile

I don't know if this is related to the other issue that Facebook is currently having, but if I should be trying to recreate the problem in another way, please let me know.

Thanks
