Topic-icon Very long string of errors (but it worked) when logging in

The site is brand new. I installed CB. I then installed JFBC and all it's components and plugins. I enabled all of the plugins. And I enabled the modules and such.

I, of course, am registered already in the site as "admin" since it's a brand new site. I clicked "Login with Facebook" and got the following ...

But on that same note, I am logged in now. If I scroll way down past all those errors, it shows me "Welcome Administrator" (although I'd rather the site use people's Facebook names if they login that way, but I am sure that is just a config problem on my end) with my Facebook avatar in the JFBCLogin module.

I'm sure this entire thing is something simple. Possibly isolated to just me since I was already registered as "Admin" and connected my Facebook to the site? If so, I apologize for wasting your time. I am just stumped as to why this long list of errors is appearing, and hope it does not appear to my visitors.

Hmmm.. yeah, I'd give that a definite "That's not right" statement.

There could be a few things causing this.
1) Your Facebook app is extremely new. In the first few hours, strange things can happen when contacting Facebook. It's possible this will go away with time, but this is likely not the problem.
2) The plugins (JFBC User and JFBC System) may not be enabled. I know you said they were, but please check. Also, ensure that the User plugin is ordered AFTER the Joomla User plugin.

Finally, some questions:
Did you connect your Admin account to a Facebook account (or do you have the "Automatically Link Facebook Users by Email:" setting enabled)?

If you go to the JFBConnect Admin area, in the User Map tab, if you delete the row for your Facebook to Joomla mapping (probably the only one) and try to re-login via Facebook, do you get the same list of errors?

We'll figure it out, whatever's causing this.

1) There are definitely some errors on Facebook's part. I can't even post on the wall of the "app page". Facebook groups are even more broken. They keep biting off more than they can chew at once.

2) Double checked. All enabled and in the correct order.

Finally: YES it is set that way.

And NO, I deleted that record and then logged in on my site and it worked perfect.

I guess we can chalk this up to "Brand new" being the problem, and most likely on facebook's end.

One quick side note (I've been searching for a solution and I am sure it is just something stupid I am missing) ... I am using this suite with CB integration. But for some reason, I can't get my Joomla site to show my name when logged in with Facebook login "Michael". It instead shows "Admin". For example in the [Who's Online] module. And of course if I author something etc.

So somewhere on my site, and again this is most definitely not your problem, I am telling the site to use people's usernames instead of their first and last name. At least I assume that's what's wrong. I checked CB config. I have "Name Style" set to 'First and Last Name' and the "Name Format" set to 'Name Only'. I looked all over CB configs and JFBC configs and I just can't seem to find anything else that would be causing the Joomla site to show me as "admin" instead of my name. I know everything is integrated and bridged correctly. I can login just fine with JFBC and the Joomla site recognizes me, everything works perfect. Just displaying my name wrong.

Not gonna hate on you for not answering this one, as it is most likely not your problem. Just figured you know more than me about these things, so why not try :)

Hrmmm. We had another report that we're looking into where the name we import from Facebook is getting borked a little depending on the CB setting you use. We haven't gotten to the bottom of it, yet, but want to have a fix (if we're doing something wrong) for the 3.1 release.

Anyways, that might have been jumping ahead. I'm assuming you're talking about the JFBCLogin module where it says "Welcome xxxx". That right now should be using the "Joomla Full Name" field. Can you check in the Joomla User Manager what this field is set too? Also, in the CB User Manager, see if the username, first name, and last name fields are setup how you'd expect for your configuration.

Again, this actually could be something JFBConnect isn't doing 100% correct.. if so, we'll get a fix out for it soon. This hasn't been reported much (outside of the one case I mentioned), so it hasn't been our top priority.. but even lower priority items get fixed!

Hope this all helps explain and narrow down the problems. If you run into anything else, definitely let us know, and we'll keep you posted to what we find for this issue.

Looking at the Joomla User Manager for my profile, it has my name as "[First] [Last]" which is correct, and it has my username "admin".

Oh! And as I am replying to you here and trying your solutions, I just re-logged in with my Facebook on my site and suddenly it is showing me as my real name instead of my username! (well, except on Agora which is still showing me as admin, which sucks but has nothing to do with your plugin).

So um, thanks. Not sure how we fixed it, as nothing has changed. But it is showing up correctly now. Guess it just took creating a new session or whatever.

That's very strange... definitely let us know if it continues to act up. You may want to try to re-register and see if it's something that happens on the initial registration (uses wrong info), but on subsequent log ins, it gets corrected. Obviously, that's not correct, but if it happens, it will help us narrow down a possible problem.
