Topic-icon Not receiving admin notification of new user registration

I have Community Builder and JFBConnect (along with a whole heap of other stuff). Everything is set up nicely, I have hidden the CB Login module login / logout details (through module settings and code) and all seems to work well.
New user can click on facebook connect button, enter details and login. They receive an email welcoming them to the site but the administrator does not get an email. Is there a way I can configure JFBConnect / CB to send the administrator an email for each new user registration? Thanks.

We'll have to do some investigation. I would think the new user emails should be firing as normal, but it's always possible there's something we missed.

For your Joomla account (or whatever admin should be receiving the emails), please make sure that you have the "Receive System Emails" setting enabled for your Joomla user.

We'll let you know when/if we find something.

Thanks, newbie mistake. I did not have that option enabled. Will give it a go. Cheers.

No problem. I'm crossing my fingers that that fixes it :)

I believe CB has their own way to notify administrators, as they tend to duplicate a lot of the functionality built into Joomla. It is possible that we aren't triggering the new user email within CB. Hopefully, the solution above will be just fine for you though... If not, let us know.

Hi Alex,
Finally got around to verifying whether this works for me or not and unfortunately it doesn't. Administrator still does not receive an email when a new user registers. Please let me know what information I can provide to help troubleshoot the problem.

I have configured my site to only allow login by the Facebook login button. I tried unpublishing the CB login module but received errors so change the code in mod_cblogin.php to hide the cb login form and cb logout button. I'm no php expert (I use the try and try again method) so let me know if that could be the problem.

Update: just reinstated the default mod_cblogin.php in my development subdomain and still did not receive admin notification

Cheers,
Randall.

We'll do some testing and let you know if there's an immediate 'easy' fix of a line or 2 that you can change. Either way, if we can easily reproduce the problem, we'll definitely have a fix for this in the upcoming 3.1 release.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I hop you can wait a little while longer for a solution.
