Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I have changed the Site URL in the FB app to not include a subfolder
i.e. http://MYDOMAIN/SUBFOLDER changed to http://MYDOMAIN
I'm giving Facebook "several minutes" before I test. Will write back shortly.

Am all set to try the code change as well. Will report on that.

Thanks for you help. I know it is especially tough to troubleshoot a problem that you aren't able to replicate yourself on your own system. I appreciate your patience.

After making the change to the FB apps site URL, I tested again. Still getting the
'
Invalid Argument
Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.
'
message.

I uploaded the new Facebook.php file with the change to
self.location = "{$loginLink}";
double checked that I had made the correct change and uploaded correctly. Still getting
'
Invalid Argument
Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.
'
I'm leaving the facebook.php file with the modification up until I hear otherwise.
I hope you are not at your wits end. Please ask me any questions that come to mind. I checked with my work mate who's office is on the opposite side of the country to check and she gets the same error message.

So interesting. I'm going to PM you a Facebook application keys. If you could, please try them out in JFBConnect and see if you get the same error. This will help quickly narrow down the problem as to whether there's some odd setting in your app or whether it's something with JFBConnect in general. A screenshot of the settings will be attached to so you can try to match them up with your app, in case it works.

While we were setting this up, we did get an "Application error" dialog box. After we got this, we removed the Base Domain name and it worked fine. We haven't seen this before, but this was also working on our localhost development server, which can sometimes cause it's own issues. Facebook likes pages it can actually 'see'.

As always, report your findings. PM coming in just a moment.
