Hi,
I'm having problems following the install / setup directions for JFBConnect (3.0)
You instructions say to "Log into Facebook with the account that you want to 'own' your Facebook application" - obviously we want that to be our business facebook account - however Facebook will not allow this & it is a breach of their terms & conditions.......(there is a notice on the login page regarding businesses & the penalties - see second screenshot attachment at bottom of this post)

I don't want to have to use my personal account (or am I missing something? - I did try logging in via my personal account & then the business account, but it still won't let me use the business account to do what you describe)- Any advice?

Perhaps you could look at AutoTweet NG product's way of doing this - it has a much faster, simpler & much better way of doing this chore (almost automated).

Regards, Karen.

It looks like we have to login using a personal facebook account (profile) in order to set the application up, which is then named using the business or website's name etc. & it is this new application we create which then interacts with JFBConnect - (I set up AutoTweet component via our business FB account with just a single click by memory, so no idea why this does it this way).
The new application is then "owned" by the individual / personal FB profile & not the business's / website's facebook account........so you'd want to be very careful not to use anyone else's FB profile when setting this up (but not everyone has a FB account & some might be tempted to use a friend's - I would strongly advise against using another persons profile........ it could cause huge problems in future eg: friend could die, they could stop being friends, etc etc).

Sorry for the no-response in getting back to this post.

Yes, the application has to be setup by a person. Pages need to be setup by a person as well, but then it 'looks' different to end users. Applications are the same way in that they're created by a user, but they are usually 'for' a website or other application (mobile app, etc) to be the conduit between the app and Facebook.

Frankly, we think it's confusing too. We'd love it if Apps and Pages were pretty much the same thing, but they're not. As far as using your account to create it, that's absolutely suggested. Once created, you can add other administrators (or remove incorrect ones, if necessary).

Hopefully this sorta helps, though I don't think I've told you anything you haven't already figured out.
