I just installed the FB Like and Friends modules and I'm getting the following error when they are enabled:

Warning: require_once(/home/thequand/public_html/components/com_jfbconnect/libraries/facebook.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/thequand/public_html/modules/mod_jfbclike/mod_jfbclike.php on line 11

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/thequand/public_html/components/com_jfbconnect/libraries/facebook.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/thequand/public_html/modules/mod_jfbclike/mod_jfbclike.php on line 11

I checked the path and those files indeed don't exist. I'm not sure if something happened when I installed the plugins. On the config. page for FBconnect I show the required extensions enabled. However, there is a red X next to the JFBConnect User plugin saying that Joomla User plugin must be executed before this extension, but I'm not sure what that means. Any ideas?

That's likely happening if you've installed the 2.x component. The social modules/plugins only work with the 3.x component. There's been big changes and a whole new Facebook API for the new version, so you'll need to use that version for the social modules.

If you are using 3.x, then uh-oh! Let us know and we'll investigate further.

The 3.x version also explains that red x a whole helluva lot better. Essentially, the JFBC User plugin needs to be ordered after the Joomla user plugin. Hope this all helps.

Embarrassingly, I had installed the 2.x version. It had a more recent post date, so I didn't look at the release number. Uninstalled component and re-installed, but still getting the same error. Did change the ordering so that Joomla User executes first, but that didn't seem to help.

Stop the presses! User error causes crashes!

Uninstalled mods and then re-installed and now back to normal. Note to self: if computer doesn't turn on, check to make sure it's plugged in.

Great to hear you got it going. Was going to give you a confused face if you were still seeing the same error :)

Let us know if you run into further issues, and hope everything else on your site goes swimmingly!
