NO invites are being sent

We noticed the import option hang for a while at about 11% when we tried the email thing. This was importing contacts from our GMail account, and it took about 1.5 minutes to progress. Our GMail contact list is decent sized, but not something I'd say overly large. It did progress after a while, but that's an artifact of Facebook trying to import the addresses. Please try again and give it some time to see if it does progress. Unfortunately, if it does, there's not much we can do about it as that's on FB's side completely.

You should receive a notification in Facebook. The show up in the right sidebar in the "Requests" area. Check it out and see if it's there. If you're explicitly typing an email address on the first page (if that's enabled), we've noticed that Facebook will send it to the user's FB request area if there is an account under that name instead of sending an email. If they don't have an account, it should send a real email.

Unrelated, but wanted to point out that when I first tried to login using my Facebook account only (no Joomla user), after entering my desired username and password, I got a red 500 error page with the title "Cannot add yourself as your own friend". The url was for the JFBConnect loginregister page, but that is not an error from JFBConnect. Just wanted to point it out. If I tried to login with Facebook again, my Joomla username (sourcecoast) was taken. If I used the left side of the form, I was able to associate my FB account with the 'sourcecoast' Joomla user. So, JFBConnect is creating the user, but something else (likely a user plugin trying to make a friend connection in some other component) threw an error.

Anyways, I created an account, but I can't see the Invite module anywhere. Can you point me to the right page? It's possible I'm just blind...

Then I am going crazy/blind. Sure it's not set for "Special" users or something (since it wasn't working)? I'm logged in through Facebook, and at the bottom of "Home", I see the JomSocial Activity Wall, "Latest Events/News/Featured" and then the tag-cloud looking area in the footer....

The notifications are not in what we would consider the 'optimal' spot, and no, there are not red flags to call them out. We just tested and we're able to see the invite as well though, so it does seem to be working on your site when sending to Facebook friends.

When trying to send through GMail, I got hung up at 7% (Authenticating). Not sure why that is, but that logic is completely on Facebook's end and done through an iFrame which we have no control over. We'll keep our eye on the Facebook developer forums to see if we see anyone else with the issue, and possible solutions.
