Therefore, could not be registered.

Hello, I am having the same issue, and would love help in getting this resolved. I get as far as the "Welcome, {User}!" view, but any attempt to create an account give the "Unable to save user..." message.

I have tried it with multiple templates, including JA purity, to ensure it isn't a problem with my customizations (I edited loginregister template on my main template -- for testing, I kept the JA Purity template as the default, but there is a template switch module on the left -- change it to jcb_naturallyborn if you like :-)).

My site is naturallyborn.net.

I will send admin login information via Contact Us form.

Thanks in advance! This is the last piece of the site to put in place before launching, so your help would be MUCH appreciated!

One more thing, while you're in there :-)

I too am experiencing logout issues, irrespective of browser. Here's the usual use case:
I login via ANY method (core joomla, JomSocial, JFBConnect)
    I logout via any method.
Go into backend to verify the user was logged out. **The user manager still shows the user as being logged in**.
Go back to front-end. It appears you are logged out, so attempt to login again.
Result: White page with "Invalid Token" error. (This result is sporadic)
Go back to previous page, refresh, then login again.
Look at the backend. On the control panel, note that the SAME user appears multiple times (SEE ATTACHMENT).

Many thanks (again!)
Amy

Amy,
2 things I've noticed that could be causing your issue:
1) The only page I could find to login was by clicking the "Sign In" quick link at the bottom of the page. This brought me to a page which had the JomSocial Facebook login and JFBConnect. Both methods of Facebook integration should not be enabled at the same time, as they can cause conflicts. If you look at the HTML of the login page, you'll see that the all.js script is loaded twice (by each component), but both from a different language file (en_US vs en_GB). Also (and most critically), the FB.Init call is being made twice with 2 separate Application IDs. This is likely causing Facebook to not properly log the user in. To use JFBConnect, you should remove the API/Secret keys from JomSocial and disable the settings in there.
2) Not as serious, and possibly not the problem, but you had "Email Field on Registration" set to Hide, but also had the Email permission set as not required. Therefore, the email coming from Facebook may have been blank. I set the email permission to required, but you could also change the showing of the email field. Try either case, and see if that helps.

Good luck, and let us know if this helps, or you run into other issues!

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, I suspect you looked at the issue just within the last little while (I'm online too! Rip-roaring Saturday night ;-)) and during this time, I reenabled BOTH methods. When I was experiencing the problem, the site was setup exactly as you noted, with the Facebook API info removed from the JomSocial settings.

Just to make sure I'm not crazy, I'll change the config again, as you noted and see if I have any luck. I'll let you know!

Just wanted to thank you -- it turns out that #2 may have done the trick. Once I set the email to show, I no longer had any problems.

Still no guess as to why the backend is registering so many sessions even after the user logs out, but it doesn't appear to be causing issues, and I doubt the same user will login-and-out over and over again :-).

Thanks again for the quick reply!
