JomSocial is now on 1.8.3 and it seems that bugs are being worked out since the initial release. Here's the changelog . But I'm not using any Jomsocial Facebook modules so it's not an issue for me (although it might for those that use them.) I just use JFBConnect to authenticate w/ Facebook and then map key Facebook fields to JomSocial fields.

Yeah, looks like 1.8.2 fixed the issue. By no means is it their fault though, JFBConnect will cause it's own conflicts when we move to 3.0.. part of the reason we're waiting till the new libraries are slightly more popular, which they're becoming so quickly.
