Complete Facebook Integration for Joomla
This configuration guide is for JFBConnect 5.0 for 2.5 and 3.x and JFBConnect v4.3 for Joomla 1.5
Installation of JFBConnect is just like other Joomla components. Simply use the "Extensions->Install/Uninstall" or "Extensions->Extension Manager" menu item in the administration area. Use the "Upload Package File" section. Unzip the file you downloaded onto your local computer. Then select the main component zip file (example: com_jfbconnect_j2.5_v5.0.0.zip), and click "Upload File & Install".
You should see an output window similar to the one below upon successful installation:
The installation process installs the component, 4 plugins, 1 library and the SCLogin module. Later steps will explain configuring each of these extensions.
Go to the "Profiles Tab" section for more directions on installing the Social Profile plugins, for importing Facebook data into other Joomla extensions or go to the "Social: Modules" section for the social modules. These files are not necessary for every JFBConnect installation.
Once installed, we recommend clicking the "Run AutoTune Now" button. You will need your Facebook Application ID and Secret key to use the auto-configuration tool. The next page explains how to get the Facebook Application information.
