Linkedin login was created by Alex5678
I configured linkedin login in jfbconnect and when I try to login using linkedin credentials it takes me to welcome page with a message 'Do u really have account on this site or you can register'. After registration when next time I login using linkedin it allows me to login. So I want to know whether this can happen at first step that is if I login using linkedin credentials it should take me to logged in home page ??

If you're seeing the "Welcome, please create an account page", it means one of the following:
1) You have the "Enable Automatic Registration" setting "off", which means the user has to fill out their account information, or
2) The user is logging in with a LinkedIn account who's email address is already in your system *and* you have the "Automatically Link Users by Email" setting "Off". In that case, JFBConnect will make the user create a new account.

Once the user has created the account, they can login with LinkedIn without going through that process again. You can change the settings above to alter the registration/login behavior however best works for your site.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

I did the required setting. I set 'Enable Automatic Registration' to Yes and 'Automatically Link Users by Email' to yes.Still when I login with linkedin credentials it takes me to page with a message-'Welcome user,If u have account on this site login else register'. Am I missing something? I do not want the registration process when I am login through linkedin credentials..

Not sure off hand then. The only reasons it should send you to that page are if:
* There is a user with that email on your system already and can't be linked to for some reason.
* The email is not being returned from LinkedIn, which means we have to ask the user for it.

Can you tell me 2 things:
1) On the login / register page, does the "Welcome <name>" actually show your name?
2) Are the email fields shown in the right hand side registration portion? If so, is it prefilled with your email, or is it blank?

Finally, if you want, I can test and see what's going on. If so, please post (or Private Message) a URL where we can see the site.

Thanks,
Alex

Yes,you are correct. Both the conditions you mentioned are getting applied here.
1. After login welcome page displays the username .
2. Registration form contains pre filled email fields.

So,could you please explain what exactly is going wrong?

I haven't heard of the issue you describe before. Once Enable Automatic Registration is enabled and your email is available from LinkedIn, your account should be automatically created. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be.

The only suggestions I can recommend are:
1) If you are using JFBConnect v6.0.x, please double-check that you enabled auto-registration. In 6.0, the button would turn red for "Yes" and green for "No", which was a confusing bug. The color was corrected in v6.1.
2) Private message me admin credentials for your site so we can investigate the problem further. You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my name to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the access to your site. In addition to re-installing JFBConnect, as mentioned in this post , you'll need to enable the Authentication - JFBConnect and User - JFBConnect plugins. Without those plugins enabled, authentication using social networks won't work.

Once you're using the latest SCLogin module and have those plugins enabled, things should work as expected.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Thanks for the credentials. I'm unsure what's happening on your site. Automatic registration is enabled and the information we need from LinkedIn to automatically register is being properly returned.

The only thing that seems very out of the ordinary is an error I see at the top of the registration page:

Error
User not Super Administrator

Do you know what extension is posting that error message? It's not from JFBConnect. My only guess is that some other extension is preventing the automatic registration process from happening. You have a few security extensions installed, so it's possible one of those is the cause.

Thanks,
Alex
