Open Graph & Auto Tweet NG Pro

Our video shows it the best, honestly. The video can be seen on the Facebook Open Graph for Joomla page. However, I'll explain here as well, which will hopefully clarify.

Auto Tweet NG Pro - This will automatically post details about a new article to the Admins's social accounts. You configure it for the admin's FB Page, Twitter Account, etc and the new article will post there one time.

Open Graph lets you post details to any of your user's Facebook Timeline when they simply interact with that content. If 100 of your user's read an article on your site, the articte will be posted to 100 different user's Timelines, which can go into each of their Feeds, which can be viewed by each of their friends.

The two extensions can work together to make sure that you (the admin) are automatically promoting your content as it's created (using AutoTweet). Then, once it's been promoted a little bit, JFBConnect can help make sure it gets out to many more friends of your site by letting your user's friends know that they are reading, commenting, voting, or otherwise interacting with your pages.

Yes, Auto Tweet is good if you want the new articles to automatically post to your social pages. JFBConnect doesn't do that, and we generally recommend you don't automatically do that. It takes a little more time to post manually, but you can post a customized message, post at the right time for your audience, and in general, you can't accidentally duplicate posts or post before the content is ready. That's our opinion though. Automated tools can work just fine.

As for setup of the Facebook Open Graph actions we support, you should read the full Joomla Open Graph configuration guide. That will hopefully explain how to setup some of the actions on your Joomla site.

In general though, you'll want to install any of those opengraph plugins for extensions you have installed, like Content (Joomla Articles), JomSocial, EasyBlog, etc. Then, Open Graph description tags will be automatically added to pages for those extensions. If you want to setup the automatic postings when user's interact with your content, the guide above should help explain how to do all that.
