When I log in with the JFB connect in firefox, safari, chrome everything works fine but if I click on the log in with facebook in internet explorer then it gives me the popup to enter my details. When I click login that screen goes away and nothing happens.

If I try to login and once the popup goes away and takes me nowhere i can double click on the login with facebook button and it logs me just fine. I need them to login when they click the first time.

I can confirm that IE (running in Windows 8!) exhibits the problems noted in Kevin's post!

We aren't running Windows 8 around here, but do have IE10 on Win7. Will do some testing and see what we come up with.

Can you tell me if the login functionality works on this site and our demo site (demo.sourcecoast.com ) using IE10? This site is still running JFBConnect v4.2 while the demo is running v4.3. That will help narrow down a lot to know what works and what doesn't.

Thanks for the report,
Alex

Kevin,
Are you on Windows 8 as well or Windows 7?

Both,
Does it work on www.sourcecoast.com?

We're trying to recreate now and will let you know what we find.

Thanks,
Alex

Still investigating the exact cause, but the problem appears to be in Facebook's Javascript button. In the SCLogin module, if you switch the "Login Button Type" to "Image" instead of "Javascript" and then use the Image field to set your own custom image, that works. Using an image uses our own Javascript and bypasses alot of Facebook's code and, again, seems to work.

You will need your own custom image. Feel free to copy ours *to your server* and use that. Please don't link to it directly: www.sourcecoast.com/sclogin/features/

Hope that helps get you around the issue for now, and rest assured, we'll be looking into the underlying cause more and reporting it to Facebook if it's indeed a bug on their end.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex.
That method is okay if you just use the SCLogin module, but I also use the {JFBCLogin} tag in many places (top of the home page, Kunena forum etc) which doesn't have the option of specifying a parameter to override FB's code as you mentioned. Any way around this?
