New user here, install seems fine, got some of the jbconnect features hooked up and I'm tweaking away. One thing I can get a clear understanding of, even after lots of searching (or maybe I just don't get it), is how to use jbconnect to put any entry on a fan page. Even a simple " shared a link" or something. Does jbconnect help with any of that? Or do I do it by hand entirely within facebook? I understand the issues about auto posting being a Bad Idea, makes sense to me. What I am looking for is a process where I put an article on my site (in joomla/k2), then do something to make a reference to that article on the matching facebook fan page. Do I do anything in jbconnect (joomla) side of things (hopefully making it a little easier to pop in all the links), or do I just copy down the joomla article url and go over to facebook and put everything in there as the fan page admin/user? I'm seeing hems and haws about "nice to have"s and "future feature"s and "custom php", and I'm confused now about what I can/can't do to "sync up" joomla articles with announcements of them on the facebook fan page. If there is some page to point me to, please do. Thanks.

Okay, I figured one way to post to a fan page is to be logged in, in facebook, as the fan page and comment on an article on the web site and it goes to the fan page as a comment. That's good.

Some of my confusion is that some (most?) of the jfbconnect modules show a message that I can't be logged in as a fb page, that I must be logged in as a fb user. Is this the way things are supposed to work with jfb modules? Which modules work with users logged in as pages, besides jfbcomment?

Most of the Facebook modules do require you to be logged in as a user. Since one person can create unlimited Pages, but only one account, Pages could be used as a method for manipulation. If Pages' could like individual URLs on your site, for instance, then you could immediately inflate your Like count on those pages. While profile accounts can be abused a little too, it's much more difficult.

As for sharing content to your page, JFBConnect can help you to set the Open Graph tags on a page which will populate the title, image and description when posted to a Page or Wall. So, with those tags set, if you paste that URL into a wall post box, Facecbook should then auto-populate all that information for you. You just need your personalized comment to explain why you're sharing that page.

Hope that all makes sense, but if not, or you need more help, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
